This leads to Matt Hardy v Owens, which Hardy loses. Segment 3:  After destroying Seth last week, Braun believes he’s in the World title match. Breaking News: It is reported that Cody has signed a deal with WWE, after contract negotiations with NJPW have faltered. It is believed WWE has been impressed with his work outside the company, along with strong pulling from the McMahon siblings that really got Cody into talks with WWE. Unfortunately, if this is true, Cody will have independent booking dates throughout the remainder of January, along with a date for the Royal Rumble. While Cody won’t be appearing for the Rumble, WWE will bring him aboard the Main Roster as soon as possible, with talks already being made to join the SmackDown Brand If rumors are to be believed. • January Week 3 Monday Night Raw Pre Show: Just wanted to test out the women. Both were decent, Naomi may get a push in the future but my confidence for her is slowly being lost. Segment #1-3: In the opener, we would have the match that was supposed to happen last week occur, which is the Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match. To open the show a video package showing the lineage and history of the title would be shown which would eventually lead to tonight and the six men vying for the title in The Miz, Dean Ambrose, Sheamus, Dolph Ziggler, Jason Jordan, and Chad Gable. In the match's ending Ziggler would be close to getting the title but out would comet he Heart Break Kid Shawn Micheals to pull Ziggler off of the ladder and hit him with a big Sweet Chin Music in his return to WWE. This would allow The Miz, who earlier in the match hit crushed Dean Ambrose's head when he hit an Elbow Drop on Ambrose's head while it was wedged in between the ladder, to go up the ladder and take the title while Micheals was glaring at Ziggler. Micheals would then wait for Ziggler to get up again and hit him with another Sweet Chin Music before leaving the ring, with a prone and nearly unconscious Dolph Ziggler laying in the middle of the ring. Segment #4: This is the match that was made by Kurt Angle on Main Event last week, The Ascension would win because I think they need the momentum and that's pretty much it. The teams didn't do as well as I'd hoped but I can't do much about it. Segment #5: Bayley again tries to gain recognition by calling out Charlotte but gets ignored again, making Bayley disappointed. Segment #6: To hype up the Rumble match, I had Chris Jericho go one on one with Karl Anderson, who announced on Twitter that he and gallows are entering the match. I had Jericho win after Gallows interfered and made Anderson lose by DQ, making Jericho win, but The Club look dominant after beating down a major star. Segment #7: I had Kurt Angle announce that Bray Wyatt, Randy Orton, Shawn Micheals, Dolph Ziggler, Dean Ambrose, The Miz, and Chris Jericho are officially in the Royal Rumble Match. Segment #8: Asuka defeated Tamina to just boost Asuka and show how good she is, she then after the match would motion towards the ramp with her arms out wide, asking Charlotte to come out. But she wouldn't as Charlotte is secretly scared of Asuka. Segment #9-10: To end the show we find out who will be one of the members of the Universal Championship match at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View. Before the match we would have Paul Heyman have an interview with Renee Yound talking about Styles and Lesnar with Heyman saying "AJ certainly is Phenomenal, but he can and will not be able handle the Beast Incarnate tonight." AJ would then put up a good fight but Brock Lesnar was too much to handle for the Phenomenal One, and Brock would win with an F5 and the final image we'd see is Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar standing tall in the middle of the ring. ROYAL RUMBLE MATCH CARD (As of right now): Raw Brock Lesnar vs Cena/HHH for the Universal Championship SmackDown Live! Shinsuke Nakamura vs Reigns/Strowman/Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Bobby Roode vs Reigns/Strowman/Rollins for the United States Championship Paige vs Becky Lynch vs Sasha Banks vs Nia Jax vs Bliss/James for the WWE SmackDown! Women’s Championship Interbrand 30 Man Royal Rumble Match Raw confirmed Superstars: The Brian Kendrick, Curtis Axel, The Big Show, Chris Jericho, Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows, Bray Wyatt, Randy Orton, Shawn Micheals, Dolph Ziggler, The Miz, Dean Ambrose (12) SmackDown Live! confirmed Superstars: Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, Big Cass, Cesaro, Enzo Amore (5) NXT: Johnny Gargano (1) Unaccounted For (Possible Surprise Entrants): 12
