    Then And Now

On this episode of Carnage leading to the Royal Rumble pay-per-view, the arrival of the BPZ Tag Team Champions is marked as 'On God' by Mustard blasts through the speakers here in the Angel Stadium of Anaheim, California. As the song would suggest, Bart and Eli Smith walk onto the stage with their gold over their shoulders but worryingly, Smith's leg is still heavily bandaged up following their match at Night Of Legends. Despite this, the champions make their way to the ring confidently as they are both set to compete in the Royal Rumble match this weekend. As Bart enters the ring, Eli collects two microphones from the ringside crew before chucking one into the ring, which Bart catches, and then sliding under the ropes with one for himself. Standing together as the undisputed number one tag-team in BPZ right now, the two Creed brothers share a fist bump before Eli takes to the mic. A year ago, we saw one of the greatest tag-teams of all-time in the Big Ballers carry these championships into the new year of 2019 with a reign that tied the record for all-time longest-reigning tag-team champions. Later in that year, we saw another great tag-team in First Class Express capture the tag-team championships. Now, as we get set for the road to WrestleMania, both of those two teams have imploded and are at the necks of their former partners, trying to get revenge for betrayal, pain, and suffering. For years, we've seen this story told where one partner finally gives in to the feelings of jealousy and that trustful bond finally snaps as best friends turn into bitter rivals. However, this year, as we step into the new year with the monumental Royal Rumble event only days away, I and Bart will be walking into the celebrated Royal Rumble match with these championships proudly carried on our shoulders. After a phenomenal bout against Invictus in which I and Bart finally got to showcase all the tag-team training that we have been putting in, we walk into singles competition at the Royal Rumble but either way, we remain a tag-team, we remain a united front and most importantly, we remain brothers, not by blood but by the battle scars of war, by the sleepless nights of training alongside each other. Nevertheless, there's a moment on that night where I will be stood alone. As I walk out onto the stage of the Angel Stadium for the first time that night, it won't be for the Royal Rumble, it will be for an absolute all-out war against a man that has bedeviled me for years. Just as I thought our bloodshed was behind us, he strikes me in the back once again but not as a friend betraying me, as a foe too cowardly to confront me face-to-face. FDS, I saw your video and I listened to what you had to say. Whether you have changed or not, whether your motives differ from what they were back in 2017, the matter of the fact is that you still took it upon yourself to wait until I was tired-out and then struck me from behind because, for some reason, you still don't truly believe in yourself. For some reason, you still need to reach for even the smallest advantages like catching me by surprise and aligning yourself with a faction of six other men that you don't even like. Now, you want to claim that I'm not the same guy I was back in 2017, that I'm 'just a tag-team guy', that I'm just a 'wounded animal'. Yes, you're damn right I'm not the same guy I was back in 2017. Back in 2017, I laid my trust in Slim, I dubbed myself as 'perfection' but now, I know my imperfections and I embrace them. Back in 2017, I held the BPZ Tag Team Championships alongside the Intercontinental and Premium Championships but now, I and Bart hold these championships solely and proudly as we are on the path to making the tag team division the most exciting in all of BPZ. As for my injury, yes I know I'm wounded, I know it's a disadvantage but my body has been riddled with trauma for the past few months but the one thing that remains intact, the one thing that is utterly relentless is my will, my heart, my unwillingness to give up on my aspirations and the ambitions of my brothers. Withall, my favorite part of your video was the ending where you invited me to come out on Carnage so we can finally stand face-to-face so here we are. Of course, I'm alongside my brother, Bart, because as I said, we remain a united front but also, he has a few words of his own to say so FDS, if you would be as polite as to wait until he has spoken before coming out, I would be ever so thankful.
  4. BPZ Brand Split 2020 Fantasy Draft At the start of 2018, we saw the unification of both of BPZ Wrestling's brands. With Carnage and EVOLVE becoming one under the name of the prior, the end of the brand split was official and the whole roster was one once again. Since then, there has been constant speculation of when the brand split will return but now, the rumors are of more volume than ever as it's being said that BPZ management has discussed bringing back the brand split post-BPZMania. Therefore, myself, Fanny McFee, and my BPZ Commentaries colleague, Manny Moleman, have paired up for our own fantasy draft. I will be drafting for EVOLVE and Manny will be drafting with Carnage, with the latter having the number one pick due to Carnage's main-stay as the live weekly BPZ Wrestling show. Manny Moleman (Hans) #1 | Jeremiah Flynn One of the longest Reigning Champions in BPZ history, Jeremiah Flynn has always been on top of his game, proven with his most recent run as the BPZ Undisputed Champion, clocking in it about 211 days. Being apart of Bulletproof, and forming the Firing Squad within it, it would have been foolish not to pick him at the #1 Position. The Hall of Famer is still an elite performer, thus was my reason to pick him as my first selection. #2 | Arius He has only been here for a year but man has he done a lot. Being one of the most unique individuals to come to BPZ Wrestling, Arius is fantastic on the microphone and is shown to be a valuable member of the company. The first North American Champion, holding titles such as US and IC belts, and being one of the favorites to win this year’s rumble, Arius would be great on the Carnage brand, and he could finally work with some of the top guys in the company. It was an obvious second pick. #3 | Eli Smith Eli Smith returned to BPZ this past summer, and what run it has been for the superstar. Defeating Bailey in his return match, forming Creed and now a Tag Champion with one of his stable-mates in Bart. Smith has shown he can still go and so picking him as my third selection was a wise decision and can bring a lot to the Carnage Brand, feuding with guys like Flynn and Arius. #4 | Bart Speaking of his tag team partner, selecting Bart was the next obvious pick. Now having the Tag Team Champions on the Carnage brand, Bart is a skilled and talented superstar, being a former Undisputed Champion himself. Bart would be a great choice for any brand he is on and since he’s with Smith as apart of The Creed, I couldn’t help but take the Dutch Star as my next pick. #5 | Hans Clayton An upcoming BPZ Superstar, Hans Clayton has had an “extraordinary” first year with the company, capturing various titles and achievements, Hans has shown he can hang with the likes of Eli Smith, Julius, etc. Hans can very well be a future World Champion in the company and with his association with Jeremiah Flynn, and his incredible work ethic. The sky's the limit for Hans Clayton, and is Carnage's 5th pick, completing the Carnage top five. #6 | Necce - #7 | Bob Sparks - #8 | Mikey #9 | Echo Wilson - #10 | Buddy Ace - #11 | Alex Costa #12 | Jason Ryan - #13 | Aaron North - #14 | Yelich #15 | George AK - #16 | Mecko - #17 | Cody Cage #18 | Dr. X - #19 | Darius Shiba - #20 | James Knight #21 | Poidust - #22 | Maasa - #23 | Brian Gillman #24 | Epic - #25 | Jack Bishop - #26 | The Riddler Fanny McFee (Smith) #1 | Julius Being the current BPZ World Heavyweight Champion and winner of ‘The King’ Slammy Award for the past two years, Julius has been on top of BPZ Wrestling for the past two years after a soaring rise to the top of the card through the success of The Kingdom. With the most treasured and prestigious championship in his grasp, Julius continues to prove that he is a reliable and top-tier performer which to me, makes him the obvious first-round pick. #2 | Slim Considered as one of the greatest of all-time whilst having the ability to reinvent himself with fresh new shticks to stop himself from becoming stale, Slim has been able to maintain his position as arguably the face of the company for a number of years whilst believably moving up and down the card making him a uniquely diverse superstar, Slim is a great second pick. #3 | Bailey Justin As the longest-lasting active superstar in BPZ history and named by most as the greatest superstar of all-time in BPZ history, Bailey Justin has been on top of BPZ for the majority of the company's existence, having captured the BPZ World Heavyweight Champion five-times over and being entered into the Hall Of Fame five years ago. After all this time, Bailey is still one of the most exciting superstars on the roster and continues to have great feuds with wrestlers throughout the card. Withall, picking Bailey at number three us undoubtedly a steal. #4 | Sameer At BPZMania V, Sameer is set to have one of the biggest matches in BPZ history against the boss himself, Brenden, after he turned on Sameer and broke up the fan-favorite duo. With that being said, Sameer is one of the most seasoned stars in BPZ as a five-year veteran and the best part is, last year was his best year as he finally had his main event breakthrough with his first reign as BPZ World Heavyweight Champion and is only looking to rise even further. #5 | KENJI The final addition to the EVOLVE top five is the only one not to hold the BPZ World Heavyweight Championship but is arguably the most exciting. As the current BPZ North-American Champion, KENJI has been dubbed by many as the future of BPZ Wrestling and has already had multiple impressive showings when given opportunities against the company’s top names. Despite not being the most accomplished, KENJI is very key as every roster needs a thrilling, unpredictable, bright, up-and-coming star. #6 | Isaiah Carter - #7 | Raven - #8 | FDS #9 | James Ropati - #10 | Sheridan - #11 | Jonathan #12 | Bashka - #13 | CJ Sellers - #14 | Gunner Flynn #15 | D.N.A - #16 | Natedog - #17 | Amai #18 | Prince - #19 | Kieron Black - #20 | Joh #21 | Hollow - #22 | Joshua Scott - #23 | Benjamin Wolf #24 | Arrow - #25 | Mirage - #26 | Dark Angel Thank you very much for reading but before you leave, be sure to keep an eye on this space as the dynamic duo of Manny and Fanny will be back soon with our point-by-point strategy of how BPZ should introduce and run the new rendition of the brand split. In that article, we will cover champions, potential storylines, and much more!

  6. With the NJPW and ROH merger turning out to be a huge success, the companies look to further expand their partnership into a circle of wrestling promotions from around the world with the newest addition being the United Kingdom's premier professional wrestling promotion, Revolution Pro Wrestling, referred to by most as RevPro. In the past, both NJPW and ROH have worked with RevPro and seem to be fond of the promotion and it's management as they now introduce the British company as the fourth party in their merger.

  9. WWE Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic | January 13th, 2020 | Rupp Arena | Lexington, KY Moustache Mountain vs The Street Profits In the very first match of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, two fan favourite tag-teams in Moustache Mountain and The Street Profits face-off. With the crowd split between the two duos, the support for the two teams is just as competitive as the match itself as the tournament gets off to an exciting start with a thrilling match-up. Winner: Moustache Mountain, at 16:02 via pinfall! Grizzled Young Veterans vs The New Day In the second match of the tournament, the atmosphere is somewhat different as the crowd is definitely in favor of the current WWGP Tag Team Champions, The New Day, as they take on the distasteful pairing of the smash-mouth Brits, Drake and Gibson, known as Grizzled Young Veterans. Winner: The New Day, at 10:22 via pinfall! Econtra vs Ichiban Next, two brand new pairings that are competing together for the first time ever tonight come up against each other as Akira Tozawa and Kushida of the newly introduced Ichiban faction take on possibly the most unusual duo of the tournament, Aleister Black and The Velveteen Dream, who have dubbed themselves 'Econtra', a Latin term meaning opposite. Winner: Ichiban, at 12:05 via pinfall! Good Brothers vs The Viking Raiders To end the final night of the tournament and the first series of Block A matches, Good Brothers of The O.C. take on The Viking Raiders. With both of The Viking Raiders being considerably large athletes, Gallows is the only member of his team that is able to match their power and strength but it's Anderson's speed and agility that provides an additional factor in favor of his team. Winner: Good Brothers, at 15:49 via pinfall! WWE Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic | January 17th, 2020 | Greensboro Coliseum | Greensboro, NC Glorious Perfection vs The Revival With the first night of the tournament having passed, we now head into the first night of Block B competition and we kick-off with one of the most experienced teams in the competition, The Revival, up against a team that has only been together for a few months now, Glorious Perfection. Winner: The Revival, at 16:06 via pinfall! Authors Of Pain vs Bald Brutality Next, the two behemoths that are known as Authors Of Pain and have recently been serving as the henchmen of the self-proclaimed messiah, Seth Rollins, take on two much smaller competitors in Bald Brutality but the hard-hitting strikes and relentless offense of Burch and Orcan make up for what they lack in size. Winner: Authors Of Pain, at 9:31 via pinfall! Gallus vs The Usos After being stripped of the NXT UK Tag Team Championships due to the installment of the WWGP governing body and introduction of the WWGP Tag Team Championships, Mark Coffey and Wolfgang of Gallus take on the iconic WWE tag team, The Usos, of the legendary Samoan Anoa'i family. Winner: The Usos, at 11:57 via pinfall! Limitless Bros vs reDRagon Finally, to end the first week of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, the brand new duo but long-time friends of Keith Lee and Matt Riddle, dubbed as 'Limitless Bros', take on one of the most experienced and fluent tag-teams in the whole tournament, reDRagon of Undisputed Era, who was stripped of the NXT Tag Team Championships just like Gallus with their belts. Winner: reDRagon, at 17:58 via pinfall!

    Rumble

For the second time, 'On God' by Mustard blasts through the speakers in the arena here tonight as now it is the other-half of the BPZ Tag Team Champions, Eli Smith, who makes his way out to the stage with a microphone in hand and noticeably even more bandages around his injured knee. Before heading straight to the ring, Eli makes a quick remark. Bart, my bad brother, I got your message but I was busy getting this spoiled knee bandaged up for the one-hundredth time. After letting off a little self-pitiful laugh, Smith makes his way to the ring. Once he enters, he shares a fist bump with his Creed brother and tag-team champion partner, Bart, before looking around the rest of the talent in the ring, nodding his head in appreciation of their drive, until he reaches Bailey. At that point, he simply gives a cold glare at the man that he clashed horns with in a heated, personal match-up at SummerSlam. However, his glare is interrupted as he glances over at the fallen Arrow. As he looks back at Bailey, who now has a cocky grin on his face that suggests this was his doing, Smith jokingly roles his eyes and lets off a chuckle as it seems the relationship between these two all-time greats isn't as tense as it was back in the summer. After whispering something into the ear of Bart, Smith then gives his piece on the upcoming Royal Rumble match. Now, the Royal Rumble, arguably the most exciting match on the BPZ calendar as the whole roster battles it out for an opportunity at the biggest prize in the industry, the BPZ World Heavyweight Championship, on the grandest stage of them all, BPZMania. On the 26th, we'll see up-and-coming stars all the way through to the greatest this business has ever seen, hopefully including some returning legends, clash as they all are on the hunt for the same thing, a career-changing opportunity. This year, I will be entering the Royal Rumble for the first time in my career and I won't lie, I'm extremely excited but not only for the opportunity to once again have my hands on that title but also for the Royal Rumble match itself. At the Royal Rumble, not only will I have a chance to reclaim the most prestigious belt in BPZ but I also get the chance to truly showcase how great my endurance is, both physically and mentally, I get the chance to truly show the extent to how far I'm willing to push myself to achieve greatness and also how much my heart is in this. Of course, myself and Bart still have these BPZ Tag Team Championships around our waists and of course, we will not neglect the division that we have worked so hard to revitalise. See, in the Royal Rumble, there can only be one winner and they say that it is every man for himself but as far as I can tell, that's only the matter in the final moments. Despite never competing in a Royal Rumble match, I've watched them myself and I've witnessed how often temporary alliances are formed in order for superstars to gain advantages. Well, what greater advantage is there than walking into the Royal Rumble already apart of the undisputed number one alliance in the company. In the Royal Rumble, if myself and Bart find ourselves in that ring at the same time, you can bet that we're going to utilise all that tag-team training we've been busting our asses with, we're going to showcase the eminence of tag-team wrestling, we're going to represent these BPZ Tag Team Championships and we're going to prove why we are the best champions in this business when the only two men left are the only two members of Creed participating in the match. From there, the two of us are just a handshake and fair bout away from that BPZMania main event.
  11. This is the second song I've heard from PA Salieu and it is actually a straight up banger, right to the top of my playlist.

  14. A few days following BPZ Wrestling's first event of the new year and the new decade, Night Of Legends, and a video is uploaded to the BPZ YouTube channel titled 'An Update From Eli Smith'. At his home office that we have been introduced to in the past, Eli Smith sits and talks straight to the camera, seemingly by himself and just speaking from the heart. So I've just got back from the doctors where they were just checking up on my knee but also checking for any signs of a concussion. Anyway, I've got a few things I need to get off my chest. Firstly, I want to thank and congratulate both members of Invictus. Arius, at Halloween Havoc, it was you and I who outlasted the four other men inside the Elimination Chamber, it came down to you and I with the Intercontinental Championship on the line and I'll admit, you bested me and took the gold that I treasure the most. Kenji, during Survival Games, you showed everyone that you can keep up with the best this company has to offer and even pushed my partner to his limits in the stellar match between the two of you that ended in a draw. A few months pass and now, me and Bart are representing Creed as the tag team champions after defeating what was considered as the best tag team in the world at that time, First Class Express. Then, the Clapspiracy Invitational is announced and whilst myself and Bart are looking through the teams, there's one that stands out as the team that we want to defend these titles against. As we watched the tournament unfold, we saw this team demolish all of the competition and eventually be announced as the 2019 Clapspiracy Invitational winners... Invictus. Thus, it was set, Creed vs Invictus for the BPZ Tag Team Championships at Night Of Legends. Truthfully, we couldn't of asked for a better team to defend our championships against and I honestly believe that just a few nights back, we put on arguably the best tag team match that BPZ has ever witnessed and brought more interest to the tag team division than ever before so for that, myself and Bart thank you because although we are the champions, we wouldn't of been able to put on such a great performance without such tremendous opponents. With that said, I wish the both of you luck as we head into the most exciting period of the BPZ calender, the road to BPZMania, and may we do battle once again. Now, let's get into the grit of what happened at Night Of Legends. After personally a match that meant so much to me, a match the really proved to myself that I and Bart are the tag team that I'd hoped we be, an old nemesis reintroduced himself with a vicious knee to the skull followed by another knee to the skull. Thankfully, he didn't focus on my already damaged knee because I'm already basically operating on one leg with this injury. Thankfully, his assault didn't result in a concussion like some have speculated which means yes, FDS, I will be coming for my revenge at the Royal Rumble. I know that I'm already apart of the Royal Rumble match and that I should be focusing on that, I know that I'm currently a champion and that I shouldn't be risking suffering from an injury by going into a match with someone who apparently just wants to tear me apart, but FDS' attack wasn't random, it wasn't just completely out of the blue. This is something that has been brewing since 2017. This is something that I knew would come but I just didn't know when. This is something that I need to be done with, something that needs to be settled and that needs to be buried. For the past five years, myself and FDS have been apart of the BPZ family. Even if we've been in and out, BPZ has always been our home. For a long time, I'd like to say we had a mutual respect, that we appreciated our differences and recognised the talent in each other. However, in 2017, that all changed. In 2017, me and FDS really clashed heads for the first time ever and what resulted from it was what he dubbed as 'the Emperor of Chaos'. After I successfully defended the Intercontinental Championship against him, all hell broke lose, FDS completely flipped and almost ended my career with a Burning Hammer onto a steel chair. From there, every time me and FDS have faced, I'll admit it has been electrifying but also some of the most dangerous moments of my lifetime. Now, we're in 2020 and it seems that we're still at that same point. When I returned back at King Of The Ring in 2019, I know the first thing I did was confront Bailey but that was because of a personal issue, that was because he cost me my job, he created the risk of not being able to provide for my family and this was all done by someone who I thought was a close friend. Nonetheless, since then, I've tried to retain my focus to doing what's best for BPZ, all I've wanted to do is restore and raise the prestige of championships that have deteriorated and divisions that have lost steam, using my pull backstage to create opportunities for new stars, overlooked stars, underused stars and hopefully, I've been able to make a difference but it's hard to tell and it's also hard to do when people like BulletProof are antagonising, disrupting and straight-up assaulting their colleagues. At Survivor Series, I wanted that to be the end of it but clearly, it wasn't. FDS, I don't know if your motives are because of me, are because of BulletProof or are from within yourself but whatever they are, your actions can't be forgiven until they are repaid. Striking me from behind outside of regulation, it's reminiscent of the day 'the Emperor of Chaos' was cultivated and I'm afraid it may end in a similar fashion. At Royal Rumble, I will have my revenge, not just for the attack of Night Of Legends but for the scars that you have left on my body and in my mind. FD, I'll see you on the 26th or I guess whenever you next plan on ambushing me. After his final words, Smith simply leans forward and turns off the camera leaving us with nothing but a black screen until the blackness fades into a photograph of Bart and Smith after their match at Night Of Legends, proudly holding their BPZ Tag Team Championships after an incredible battle against Invictus.
