  1. We’re just a few days out from the first round of matches in the PowerTrip Cup tournament. It’s a tournament that needs no introduction; pitting the best of the best against each other with the prize being a shot at the Undisputed Championship. One of the competitors on the Valor side is “The New” Mae, hot off his first match and first win since his return last month. A documentary crew has been following Mae today on his routine workout. We first see him in the gym. Here Mae focuses on his kicks, with a gym employee holding a weighted punchbag in place. Mae puts his full body into the k
  2. We return to Valor, and it doesn’t take long for a familiar process to start to unfold. A video playing on the titantron slows, the pitch of the audio bends, the screen develops a harsh layer of static. Lights across the arena drop out. The audience now burst into full on cheers, awaiting the arrival of “The New” Mae either in the flesh or up on the titantron. Mae comes off of a win against Marc Aaron Newton at Valor: Revelation, a win in his first match back. This is a result which the crowd are particularly fond of, happy to see the Prizefighter take down a man entirely evil from their
  3. Shortly after the commentators finish talking, lights begin to drop out in the arena; and the crowd erupt in anticipation of the events about to come. As always, the titantron stands as the final light source in the arena. It flashes white and then too drops out. A few seconds pass, and then the wailing sirens of Slowthai’s “Psycho” burst out into the arena. White spotlights flail out of control across the arena as the song is introduced. Their movement matches the unpredictable nature of the theme song, and about twenty seconds in as Denzel Curry begins to speak,
  4. We return to Valor, just days away from the first Valor branded event: Valor: Revelation. Amongst the matches already announced, our commentators remind us of the upcoming PowerTrip Cup qualifying match; pitting Mae vs Man as “The New” Mae takes on Marc Aaron Newton to fight for a spot in the tournament. The commentators narrate over a graphic up on the titantron. A video recapping the events tries to begin to play, but as soon as it starts the video slows, the pitch of the audio bends, the screen develops a harsh layer of static. Lights across the arena drop out. While cheers in the audi

  6. Old school was the kayfabe I knew and loved, and in turn it's all I know in terms of cutting promos against another person. With that being said, I'm a huge fan of the storytelling from the "new school" and I think the calibre of kayfabe today is probably the best it's ever been.
  7. We return to Valor, and we are welcomed back by Sheepy and CPE. On the titantron we see the face of Marc Aaron Newton as he makes his entrance in another recap, flanked by the M.A.N Consortium. We see pictures of him entering the ring, insulting his opponent at Valor: Revelation, and eventually ripping up Austin Mirage’s new M.A.N Consortium contract. Our commentators narrate the pictures and explain the story; informing viewers at home that Aaron had trash talked his opponent and fired Austin Mirage from his stable. The titantron cuts to the backstage area, where we see an interviewer st
  8. Review the new Tom Misch album "What Kinda Music." Fell in love with it on first listen, then I saw Jamie Oliver listening to it while he was cooking on his Instagram story. 10/10.

Smith's "give us your tits" celebration after every goal on Pro Clubs In all seriousness though, I don't think I could put together a definitive list of my top 6 moments simply because I've had way too
  10. We return to Valor after a commercial break, and the commentators welcome viewers at home back to the show. We see a graphic appear on the titantron and the commentators talk us through the upcoming match; Marc Aaron Newton vs “The New” Mae at Valor Revelation. The titantron then cuts to a recap of Aaron’s recent promo. He walks to the ring flanked by the M.A.N Consortium, and begins to talk down on Mae. As he begins to speak, the video slows, the pitch of the audio bends, the screen develops a harsh layer of static. A slow but familiar process. The visuals of the M.A.N on screen become d
  11. On January 8th 2014, the WWE made an announcement that would change the terrain for both their company and the wrestling industry in general: the introduction of the WWE Network. Pay-per-views would be available on a monthly subscription basis, as well as a huge library of old content owned by the WWE available on-demand. Fast forward to 2020 and the network has been considered an overall success. While there have been reports recently that Vince may be “losing faith” in the subscription concept, it is widely recognised that the WWE Network has been a major part in the expansion of the WWE in
  12. Spoiler: Strong start to the season and then a dip in form at the end for a play-off semi-final finish I reckon try to bring in a young right winger, come on you whites
  13. Valor returns from commercial break, and the camera pans across an electric crowd still feeling the buzz of the BPZ Draft. The Draft isn’t the only big event as of late however, as the commentators discuss the return of the self proclaimed prizefighter: “The New” Mae. A video plays on the titantron which shows Mae making his entrance and walking out to address the universe, and the commentators share their views on his words. As the titantron continues to remind the crowd of Mae’s return, the video once again begins to distort. The video slows, the pitch of the audio bends, the screen dev
