SFW Monthly Review and Preview

Review

n4Ayrzw-zhdZ9epJRSBVV-ZNDiB0c6pGPzjooNHa

A very eventful month in SFW this was indeed. Beginning with the fallout from Goldrush and the road to Clash of The Titans was paved finishing off with Last Shot creating some of the matches for SFW’s Biggest show of the year. For the championships in SFW while they currently remain for the most part in the status quo it was the Television Championship changing hands this month with the  former champion Mil Almas losing in a four way match to Angelo Catio who pinned Almas to not only win the title but Almas will not be able to challenge Catio as long as he is champion. Almas though was not the only one denied a championship match as after losing to King Slim, Ryan Reeves will not be able to challenge for the SFW World Championship until next years Goldrush. Moving on to SFW’s Wrestler of the Month.

SFW Wrestler of the Month

h2YNlcarSSpo6rCZaEDWdTJ9ML3P3bz7NhQk-dvm

SFW’s Wrestler of the Month is the currently undefeated Continental Champion Julius Jones! The continental champion has dominated SFW since arriving having not only won the Continental Champion at the end of last month but also defending it in 3 Open challenges against debutants in impressive matches before retaining it yet again at last shot against the man he defeated for the title Adam Masters. Aside from his championship defence at last Shot Jones notably defeated Arius and Dikey in their debut matches, the Arius match being especially notable with the two men having what was considered to be one of the best matches in SFW’s lower card by many fans. Jones now looks ahead to Clash Of the Titans where he will defend his championship against former SFW World Champion Prince Jack III.

Preview

SFW’s biggest show of the year will take place this month, taking place in London’s famous Wembley Arena. All of SFW’s Championships will be defended and we can confirm some of the matches for Clash Of The Titans right now including of course the Continental Championship Clash between Julius Jones and Prince Jack III but we have much more than that. After his interference in Reeves’ Championship match at last shot, Kazuchika Okada will face Ryan Reeves at Last Shot in a rematch from their bout at Redemption a few months back. The tag team championships will also be on the line with Ice Cold defending against the Number One Contenders in Haskins & Tamer but also in a special appearance the Young Bucks will be in the tag team championship match at Clash Of the Titans as well. We can also announce the Titanic Battle Royal which the winner of which will receive a championship match of their choosing at a later date, the participants will be announced at a later date. Finally we can of course confirm the main event will be King Slim defending the SFW World Championship against Goldrush match winner Yelich Anderson. Those are the currently known matches for SFW’s biggest show of the year and with two more championship matches to be announced and at least 10 matches planned for the show there will be more to come so without further ado, below is the match card for SFW Friday Night Carnage!

SFW Friday Night Carnage 56, Live from Manchester

R7AbcoJE6E_MblBTvtBttRxNkqv_QwbHO-LJ5FAV

Match 1 SFW Television Championship Number One Contenders match: Arius VS Kin Takeshi VS Jacob Yamada

4wN3ilv5hF7hVZZQGYfuQZaLnrWcjPn_X7uYroLhYrb2TalmmveSc_Bdmc2xrhbP8KFenQK-t-ZwcKXKXPYXO3-eDkAQLUEHSERk9ytN1QSl_msQI9fmkp_l

To kick off the show, we had three men who all had the opportunity to earn a Television Championship match at Clash Of The Titans. The three men fought with intensity all attempting to gain a big opportunity in their career to win their first championship gold here in SFW. Yamada would attempt to overpower Arius and Takeshi but the speed of Takeshi and the technical mastery of Arius proved to be too much for Yamada and he would be taken out of the match with a lifting Osaka Street Cutter from Arius. Arius would look to win the match but would turn around into a Black Sun from Takeshi and Takeshi would pick up the victory. After the match, Takeshi would be confronted by SFW World television Champion Angelo Catio, the two men would stare down with Catio raising the title over the undefeated Takeshi who would pose in front of Catio.

Winner via Pinfall and Number One Contender to The Television Championship: Kin Takeshi! 7/10

Match 2 (Non-title): Prince Cutler VS Ropati

0gcNFlzGCOAjAbEWHJdOJWH5dOFonAd8H8HoJE-oalJNfAoxR1O-9ZDqyvOk35AK7xK-dWAPQPapb8A1

The next match saw a non-title bout, Lightweight Champion Prince Cutler took on Ropati. The two men would go at each other with ferocity trading blows, neither man wanting to give an inch. Cutler would go for the Kingdom Keeper early only to get caught with a pele kick from Ropati. The match would come to a conclusion when Dikey would come out of nowhere and smash the two men down. Hans Clayton would then come in to make the save for Ropati only to be ambushed by Overheel out of nowhere, Liam Starr would then attempt to make the save but Overheel and Dikey would double team him only for Dikey to then stab Overheel in the pack. Dikey would then grab the Lightweight Championship and pose over the broken bodies of the champion and the other lightweights around the ring.

No Contest

Match 3: Tamer VS Jarrod Gardyner

AZWiNn5C_BdDxS6Q96dcfkBr-KNwkxE5WAWPc_jlhgGM89uv7Ha3RQBE1iocQzhlpp7J1ruiB3ENcsVw

The next match saw one half of the tag team champions took on one half of the challenger team as Jarrod Gardyner took on Tamer. The two men had a very impressive match but Tamer seemed to show off his superior in ring in a singles capacity being able to brutalise Gardyner on Several Occasions. After an Intervention it was over as Tamer would pin one half of the tag team champions on the Road to Clash Of The Titans. He would then taunt the champion before making his leave.

Winner via Pinfall: Tamer! 7/10

Match 4: Strike Force (Adam Masters & Nathan Clarke) VS Crescent Fall (Bart Johnson & KENJI)

Skalf6uGwELYsGqDAAex2NVavBA5zYPjkWaWYvIW7s2EMJ799YpetDl0PeAPYTQYjKYlxPyleSbnwuQ6

ywjfTJkII18XWltPgnGO8g5ZAubpzR_6Svm_boAZ2qqi2DbzVhjuA6GtZP0TqDX7k3hXEN4QwCPIPeIt

In a very impressive tag team contest we would see strikeforce take on the tag team duo of Crescent Fall. Both teams would look to recapture momentum as they would fight fiercely with both teams doing everything they possibly could to win the match. In the end though the former Continental Champion Adam Masters would get caught by KENJI in a european Clutch for the victory. Strike Force would not take too kindly to this though attacking Crescent fall after the match laying them out. Masters would then get on the mic and demand that he be shown more respect in SFW, this would lead to general manager FDHogan making his way out onto the stage. Hogan would then state that he is sick of Masters’ Attitude and that at Clash Of The Titans he’s going to do something about it and that StrikeForce will face Crescent fall and a partner of their choosing in a six man no disqualifications tag team match and if Strike Force lose: Adam Masters will be gone from SFW!

Winners via pinfall: Crescent Fall! 7/10

Main Event: The Roundtable of Excellence (King Slim & Mil Almas) VS Yelich Anderson & BIC

BFYtEhWs77elwAxIfC8H9sgsgxfxN2JWbNywvp1zZbBUMSk7Ewce6g9JXnGGEiCbpQL96li0i97-bmsP

372FsiVTnzBG-iP-XP9kVwM_dlm2HteO0sIw5fYscDtSdogs9EqC4lAHflg-_J5RUOFGoNKI0nBSOa4e

In the main event of the evening we saw the SFW World Champion team up with Mil Almas to take on the Goldrush Match winner and BIC in a star studded tag team contest. The two teams went at it with BIC and Almas being extremely focused on each other, while the champion would look to weaken the challenger ahead of their match at Clash Of The Titans II. Anderson seemed to be about to pick up the victory getting in position to hit Slim with a Mic Check but Slim would low blow Anderson causing a disqualification. This would then lead to Slim and Almas beating down Anderson, BIC would attempt to break it up but Almas would cut him off with a Corredor De La Muerte. Almas would then get on the mic and say that he was sick of facing BIC in SFW and that at Clash Of The Titans they will end it in a deathmatch where there must be a winner. Slim and Almas would close the show posing on top of Anderson and BIC with the Roundtable of excellence looking dominant as ever.

Winners Via Disqualification: Yelich Anderson & BIC! 8/10

Opening Match: Adam Masters VS KENJI

ldVJGDnHKKLkIsipZPCSM7Ax5jDB6EahXimC_aZZJbk3jCEVSUU529qSVanQFjHdCP7__ScqsWW3992e

Kicking off Saturday Night Battlefield we saw Adam Masters take on KENJI in a preview bout for the six-man tag team match at Clash Of The Titans. The two men had a very impressive showing with the two men demonstrating some very unique technical offence with Strikeforce attempting to interfere on the behalf of Masters but KENJI’s Crescent Fall tag team partner would assist in keeping the other members away which would allow KENJI to take control and hit the Horizonsault for the victory. After the match, Strikeforce would attack Crescent Fall but then suddenly an unexpected ally would make the save for Crescent Fall: Jacob Yamada. The Japamerican superstar would come in and even the odds for Crescent Fall seemingly reuniting with his former Student in KENJI and perhaps being Crescent Fall’s tag team partner for Clash Of The Titans.

Winner via Pinfall: KENJI! 8/10

Match 2: Overheel & Dikey VS Hans Clayton & Ropati

XOHEoLHAoDBqxAq4LAF7_M68BkGTy6SvMzWoJoSUmmNxwHrlCMBz2d_UB9DxCPXs3QrFUIeoSNDuidKw

PVl0H6b8XGtohRUe4YJo1nA28C-r7GPBJ8a27JLQ-6XfAldKsUKf47s_38ayTGfmbSJx8Mo8uodxqV6n

We then saw a tag team match pitting 4 of the men in the Lightweight Championship ladder match at Clash Of The titans as Overheel and Dikey would team to take on Hans Clayton and Ropati. Dikey and Overheel would brutialise the two fan favourites but Hans and Ropati would fight back and try to overcome the faces and as Ropati was setting up for the Sweet Chin Music it looked like they had the match won… until SFW Lightweight champion would come in and brutal smash Ropati in the face with the lightweight Championship. The three dastardly men would then beat down Hans and Ropati until suddenly Liam Starr would come down and even the odds for the Fan Favourites. The two groups would staredown with animosity between all 6 men.

Winners via Disqualification: Hans Clayton & Ropati! 6/10

Match 3: David Haskins VS Connor Bramson

i27m3AcYmhzD46Z30PciJrkXxzYmNduOEyWTx9tXu--tFNCbcdWdoapyn6F2FF4cqJhtN1VOBDlEWaD7

The next match saw one half of the SFW Tag Team Champions take on one half of the Number One Contenders to those very same championships as Connor Bramson took on David Haskins. The two men had a brutal match with it becoming extremely violent with neither man allowing the other to take advantage. The fans however loved it as the two men would completely destroy each other. Bramson would eventually pull off the victory despite Tamer’s attempted interference which was stopped by Jarrod Gardyner and Bramson would hit the Piece of Mind for the victory. Ice Cold would then raise their tag team championships in the face of one of their challenger teams for Clash Of The Titans.

Winner Via Pinfall: Connor Bramson! 7/10

Main Event: Julius Jones & Kin Takeshi VS Angelo Catio & Prince Jack III

8avDwbF6fdhzCh-VYf6LoeXRY8d7UOeLdMQmqQtUr9bvv7cYx90OwBOOwFMgMM0nFgizR05peGw8BIXE

SSMQGEK8gasKxfmV3iJv3YdD9A9nZQlpTcBz47BXe5MjI7OaR5ABRjbQCUeg_Npqmpi3vRZS2OptUMg2

In the main event of the evening, a preview tag team match of the Television and Continental Championship matches at Clash Of The Titans, SFW Continental Champion Julius Jones and Kin Takeshi would take on SFW Television Champion Angelo Catio and Prince Jack III. The four men would have a very intense tag team bout with both groups trying everything they possibly could to win the match and we saw several signature moves of each man and some incredible moments. Prince Jack III Countering the KO punch from Jones into an Armbar for example or Takeshi avoiding the Five Knuckle Shuffle and Dropping Catio with a Snap German Suplex. The match would come to a conclusion with Takeshi hitting Black Sun on Prince Jack III as he would stare at Catio while Jones held him in place. After the match, Jones and Takeshi would pose, Jones with the Continental Championship and Takeshi with the Television Championship perhaps giving us a look into the future to close Battlefield.

Winners via Pinfall: Julius Jones & Kin Takeshi! 8.5/10

2eFu9g3eAn61XcIbvR_EHiFeRn1-3KWP8Cpf9JSd2ATduNqUCxFntPqYN9f15BZ225WglC-HyS9XqBon

To Open up the show Azrael took on Josh Scott in a match that saw the two men clashing in styles. Azrael would hit Scott with several strikes and hard blows while Scott would attempt to use holds to subdue the wild and crazy Azrael. Azrael though, would quickly get the victory after hitting Pierce the Veil on Scott and following it up with a 450 splash for the pinfall.

Winner Via Pinfall: Azrael! 5/10

FDHogan Makes a “Titanic” announcement

95Tu65_1roh5_ebHVOJQY14dthKBr9K1OlKNHomY

FDHogan would appear on the titantron after the match and would an announcement. Hogan would state that while it’s true that not everyone can be featured on the main card of Clash Of The Titans II that he will make sure that everyone in SFW gets an equal opportunity. He would announce The Titanic Battle Royal, a 15 man battle royal with the winner receiving a championship match of their choosing. He would announce the first three participants would be Arius, Azrael and Hollow with more participants to be revealed at a later date.

Match 2: StrikeForce (Brett Storm & Nathan Clarke) VS KENJI & Jacob Yamada

Brap9tHHLrv_RMRjauY1FlfRJB9bGiqhGQsEO119vYIxLFCUsmPCJN1JugMKpPFEKeSdw0EjyPnI4crN

VzW1XzsXb9KCSqppV5nWTtSkMppblafyXhc3kNQPlcuhlox6ak33R36fbHu5M_6tfG5cW9a9OPaiIWI5

The next match would see Strikeforce take on Mentor and pupil turned Rivals turned allies as they faced KENJI and Jacob Yamada. Yamada and KENJI would have surprisingly great chemistry not losing a step since their time together in Japan. The two men would throw everything they had at Strike Force and almost pick up the victory after a HorizonSault to Storm but Adam Masters would interfere causing a disqualification ruining a great tag team contest. Strike Force would then beat down Yamada and KENJI until Bart Johnson would come in and make the save evening the odds for Crescent fall. The two groups would then stare down in the lead up to their battle at Clash Of The Titans.

Winners via disqualification: KENJI & Jacob Yamada! 7/10

Match 3: The Roundtable of Excellence (Prince Cutler, Connor Bramson & Jarrod Gardyner) VS Tamer, David Haskins & Dikey

The next match saw a Six-Man tag team match which pitted champions against challengers as The Roundtable of Excellence took on Tamer, David Haskins and Dikey. Surprisingly The Roundtable weren’t the ones being booed in this match as Haskins, Tamer and Dikey got the brunt of the disapproval from the fans. They would bend and break the rules to their whims and would even use weapons when the referee wasn’t looking. Ice Cold and Tamer & Haskins would end up brawling all the way to the back leaving Cutler and Dikey alone in the ring together and to the shock of many Dikey actually caught Cutler by surprise and then hit him with The Fallen Star to pin the lightweight champion. Dikey would then taunt the Lightweight champion and the rest of the men in the Lightweight Championship ladder match by posing with the championship.

Winners via pinfall: Tamer, David Hasskins & Dikey! 7/10

Match 4: Julius Jones VS Gary Kirby

RtlgvScN4Hvuo6H2sTl7TtHK4GMIgkGBGD0Z-3MgT5ucZC7TKSexU5eSUXvn9svKaR_d5PomUVOn4MvV

In a quick match, a very intense Continental Champion Julius Jones would Immediately beat the crap out of Gary Kirby. Just throwing Kirby all around the ring and after a KO Punch followed up by a Hells Welcome the match was over and Jones had won. After the match, Julius would get on the microphone and state that there is no way in hell that “technical, skinny Bitch” is taking his Continental Championship at Clash Of The Titans.

Winner via pinfall: Julius Jones! 4/10

Main Event: Yelich Anderson VS Mil Almas

Gs2ncoFCSX1Sv_MNWocmZ8jYgHjESYytM8fe1S4pLwYafGWSBAWd1Lb6kZ40OFquoeuuEPT8gYz2gt85

In an incredible main event singles match, Goldrush match-winner Yelich Anderson took on former Television Champion Mil Almas. Before the match however, Almas would get on the mic and tell Anderson that he won’t win here tonight and that he definitely won’t win at Clash Of The Titans and he’ll just continue to be the nearly man of SFW. The two men would revisit their rivalry beating the living hell out of each other and would nail each other with every move they had in their Arsenals. During the match as Almas would set up for the Superkick, BIC, Almas’ Clash Of The Titans Opponent, would come down and distract him allowing for Anderson to reverse the superkick into a pop-up spinebuster. The match would continue until finally Anderson would reverse the Corredor de La Muerte into a pop-up Mic Check and he would pin Almas for the victory. After the match, Anderson would state that he will not be just the nearly man of ICPW and that at Clash Of The Titans he will become SFW World Champion.

Winner via pinfall: Yelich Anderson! 9/10
