WWE Releases and Firings Topics

NXT’s Kacy Catanzaro hasn’t commented on the reports she quit wrestling for good after suffering a back injury. WWE hasn’t said anything about rumors of the former American Ninja Warrior star giving notice to them after the alleged injury, either.

But Catanzaro has been on social media since those stories entered the discussion over Labor Day weekend. While it’s open to interpretation, this one in particular seems designed to refute the reports:

The 29 year old hasn’t wrestled since a house show tag match in Tampa on July 19. WWE’s very high on the diminutive New Jersey native, jumping the gun by hyping her signing at the first Mae Young Classic before NBC had announced she was done competing on American Ninja Warrior, giving her a featured spot in the 2019 Royal Rumble match, and promoting her relationship with Ricochet via their online platforms.

We’ll see how this all shakes out, but maybe don’t give up hope of seeing Kacy doing things like 360 codebreakers in the squared circle again just yet.

Such a shame as I could've seen Kacy Catanzaro be a huge star especially on the main roster with her unique American Ninja Warrior skills which were pretty much crafted to get the attention of large crowds that are more entertainment-based rather than actual wrestling. Nothing but best wishes for Catanzaro.

Speaking with Sports Illustrated, Ricochet addressed rumors that his girlfriend Kacy Catanzaro was retiring from wrestling after a back injury. “She’s still with the company. She’s not retired at all and she’s not injured. It’s a tough sport and we’re all hurting, but there is nothing wrong with her.”

Having said that, Ricochet went on to say that he doesn’t know if Kacy will wrestle again. “She’s very family-oriented and she wants kids, so she doesn’t know if being on the road so much is for her.”

Kacy Catanzaro had yet to become a regular fixture of NXT TV, but she made a splash in the Women’s Royal Rumble earlier this year. She also appeared in the second Mae Young Classic Tournament, losing to Rhea Ripley in the second round

The article says she’s struggling with road life and really wants kids. So, it seems like she’s not hurt, but more conflicted about whether or not the schedule is right for her which honestly is better news than someone being stuck with an injury. It would at least be for her own choices. She's very talented and she probably has a solid future ahead of her if she wants it. It seems they're just giving her time to figure out whether she wants to stick it out or not.

I’m very glad she isn’t injured and is healthy however as Arius said it seems like she’s just trying to decide if the schedule is for her and if she decides it’s not then honestly now is the best time for that decision as she’s not really a main stay on the show however I wholeheartedly support her decision regardless of whichever one it is.

While I don’t think this is too big of a decision it’ll definitely take a lot of getting used to not having the Bellas on the roster anymore however I also don’t believe this is the end of the Bella’s relationship with WWE and I can definitely see them making guest appearances from time to time.

Oh so that's probably a big reason why Jordan Myles also went on that rent. To be fair I see a lot of there points of view, now that NXT is on TV they can consider it the outright 3rd brand. However not everyone on NXT probably justifies being paid on that said "main roster" contract so it's up to WWE as a business to decide who they feel deserve it.

Sin Cara Requests WWE Release, Issues Statement

Quote

WWE RAW Superstar Sin Cara took to Twitter today to announce that he has requested his release from WWE.

The veteran wrestler noted that he is grateful for the opportunities he's received from WWE, but he feels like he's stuck in a place where he's not valued as an athlete or a talent. He feels like he's been loyal, respectful and a team player, and has waited patiently for the chance to show the world what he can do, but after all these years he feels like that chance isn't coming while he remains with WWE.

Sin Cara went on to thank WWE and the fans, adding that he believes the best years of his pro wrestling career are still to come.

It looks like Cara will remain under contract to WWE as word going around today is that WWE officials will not be granting the release request, according to PWInsider.

Furthermore, Cara was scheduled to go on to WWE TV at the end of the current European tour, but now plans have changed and he will be going home instead of going on to next Monday's RAW in Boston, Massachusetts.

Cara is working the current WWE European tour, losing singles matches to Andrade.

It was also reported today that the masked Superstar reportedly has 3 years left on his current WWE contract. Word going around is that Cara is interested in working for the Combate Americas MMA promotion, who also employs several pro wrestlers, including his good friend Alberto El Patron.
