      New Reactions!   07/26/2017

Reactions have been added to the forum with the new site update. These reactions are an extension to the reputation system and allow you to display more emotions in your reputation handouts. With this change it introduces 'Neutral' reputation, which is a reaction that offers neither positive or negative reputation. These are represented via the "Haha", "Confused" and "Sad". We still currently have our traditional reputation methods with upvoting and downvoting for those who prefer the old method. "Liking" is now the default reputation method and the "Thanks" option has also been added, these make up the two new positive reputation point.  The only new addition to the negative reputation system is the "Angry" emotion. Give them a try!

"PHENOMENAL & GLORIOUS"

These were the words we were left with as the 2K17 season came to an end. They were used to describe the SummerSlam pay-per-view event where, in a WrestleMania rematch, AJ Styles defeated Finn Balor to become the first Universal Champion, and in the main event, the biggest tournament in WWE Dreams history culminated in a Fatal 4-Way to determine the new WWE Champion in which Bobby Roode defeated Bray Wyatt, John Cena, and Triple H. The Glorious Era of WWE Dreams has begun.

That's right. I'm back. Let me know if you want a recap of the events that took place between Fastlane and SummerSlam last season or if you just want me to go forward from here.

It was revealed that the man Mr. McMahon was speaking to on the phone at the end of Fastlane was none other than Paul Heyman. He said the question isn't who can stop Goldberg; the question is can Goldberg stop...BROCK LESNAR! Mr. McMahon was willing to pay anything and anyone to take the WWE Championship away from Goldberg and so he made the match official: Goldberg defends the WWE Championship against Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania!

Sting made an appearance at Fastlane explaining his actions at Royal Rumble where he cost Undertaker the WWE Championship against Goldberg. He was sent a very eerie message from Undertaker who said he will send Sting to hell at WrestleMania. The match was set: Sting vs Undertaker...HELL IN A CELL!

Trish Stratus successfully defended her Women's Championship against Asuka at Fastlane but will now have to defend it against Royal Rumble winner Charlotte at the grandest stage of them all.

AJ Styles returned at Fastlane and confronted new World Champion Finn Balor. Styles had a guaranteed title match he earned by defeating Samoa Joe and he wants it at WrestleMania. Finn accepted the challenge.

The rivalry between Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt has gotten so personal that both sides' families are stepping in. At WrestleMania, Bray Wyatt, Erick Rowan, and Luke Harper take on the reuniting Shield in a 6-Man Tag Team Match!

After costing John Cena the WWE Championship at Fastlane, Bobby Roode must finally go one-on-one with the leader of the Cenation at WrestleMania. Can John Cena end his losing streak against the Glorious One?

WRESTLEMANIA

Aiden English wins the Battle Royal

Kevin Owens wins the Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match

Charlotte wins the Women's Championship

The Wyatt Family def. The Shield

John Cena def. Bobby Roode

Finn Balor def. AJ Styles

Undertaker def. Sting

In the main event, Goldberg was setting up to Spear Brock Lesnar. Paul Heyman entered the ring and put himself in harm's way. Brock then stepped in front of Heyman who dropped to his knees in terror. Goldberg and Lesnar went face to face. Paul Heyman then delivers a low blow to Lesnar! Goldberg Spears Brock. Jackhammer! 1...2...3! Paul Heyman screws Brock Lesnar and Goldberg is still the WWE Champion.

Paul Heyman would explain that he never believed Brock could actually beat Goldberg and that he doesn't work for losers. Brock would get a rematch for the title at Payback in a Last Man Standing Match. In that match, Brock delivered an F-5 to Goldberg off the stage which took Brock off as well. Both Superstars were severely injured during the fall. Goldberg was in no condition to defend the WWE Championship and Brock was not healthy enough to maintain his #1 contender status. Therefore, Mr. McMahon vacated the title. He then announced the largest tournament in WWE Dreams history. 64 men would be competing for a spot in a Fatal 4-Way Match at SummerSlam to crown the new champion. Names like Triple H and The Rock entered the tournament. Names like Aiden English and Dean Ambrose impressed in the tournament. Tournament matches took place on Main Event and pay-per-views. The final four were Triple H, Bray Wyatt, John Cena, and Bobby Roode. In that match, John Cena hit an AA on Triple H and was about to win the title until Bobby Roode tossed Cena out of the ring and covered HHH for the win.

Trish Stratus wanted her rematch for the Women's Title right away but was unable to regain it. She was so confident she'd win that she put her career on the line. Trish was forced to retire. Charlotte became one of the most dominant Women's Champions in history and was the first Superstar drafted to RAW next season where she will compete as the RAW Women's Champion.

Yeah, there's going to be a new brand split. Mr. McMahon announced he was stepping away from the controls of WWE Dreams and left RAW and SDL in the hands of...

After WrestleMania, Finn Balor said it was an honor facing AJ Styles and looks forward to when they meet in the ring again. Balor was then jumped by the debuting Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows. Finn confronted AJ about the attack who knew nothing about it. AJ asked Anderson and Gallows about it and said they were just making an impact. G & A would go on to win the WWE Tag Team Titles and AJ would go on to win the Intercontinental Championship. He was also jumped by the new tag champs. All of this would culminate in a huge main event match at Payback: WWE Tag Team Champions Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson vs Intercontinental Champion AJ Styles and World Champion Finn Balor in a Winner Takes All Match. In a shocking twist, Finn turned on AJ and purposely lost the match. Luke Gallows pinned AJ to become the new IC Champion and Karl Anderson won the World Title by default! It was all a set up but why did Finn lose the World Title on purpose? It became clear on the next Main Event that Finn wanted Karl Anderson to lay down and allow Finn to pin him to win the title back. But before that could happen, AJ showed up with a steel chair. Finn and Gallows fled the ring leaving the World Champion alone. AJ Styles viciously assaulted Karl Anderson with the chair and then chased after the other two. It wasn't over there. The music of Alberto Del Rio hit. Now aligned with Paul Heyman, he cashes in Money in the Bank. SUPERKICK TO ANDERSON! 1...2...3! Alberto Del Rio is the new World Champion! Balor would challenge ADR at Over the Limit but was unsuccessful. AJ challenged Luke Gallows for the IC Title was could not win it back. A Triple Threat Match was announced for Great Balls of Fire between ADR, Balor, and Styles. Finn Balor would win the World Title back and ADR would quit. At Money in the Bank, AJ Styles defeated Gallows and Anderson in a Handicap Match to earn a shot at Balor at SummerSlam. That match would now be for the new Universal Championship which AJ Styles won. Mr. McMahon stripped Luke Gallows of the IC Title and retired the championship heading into the new season.

The Shield and Wyatts had a rematch at Payback which Shield won. After, the three agreed to go their separate ways. Bray exiled the final two members of his family.

The rivalry between Edge and Randy Orton needed to end and it did at Payback. In a Loser Leaves WWE Match, Randy Orton defeated Edge and punted his skull on the way out.

Also to note, at Great Balls of Fire, Heath Slater, Curtis Axel, Apollo Crews, Baron Corbin, and Neville defeated Big Show, Mark Henry, Kane, Christian, and Chris Jericho forcing the veterans into retirement. The Usos won the WWE Tag Team Titles for the first time at SummerSlam and were drafted to SDL. At Money in the Bank, The Miz won the men's MITB Ladder Match but was injured during the match. He will be out of action to begin the next season. Bayley won the women's MITB Ladder Match.

The final edition of Main Event before the brand split kicked off with the new Universal Champion AJ Styles. Before he could say anything, he was interrupted by new WWE Champion Bobby Roode. The Glorious One claimed to be the better champion and said had the better match at SummerSlam. AJ Styles told Bobby Roode to prove it. The champions were then joined by Finn Balor who demanded a rematch with AJ Styles for the Universal Championship. John Cena came out and called out Bobby Roode for how he won the title at SummerSlam. Dean Ambrose was out next and said he doesn't care who he fights or whether the title is on the line or not, he just wants a fight. Samoa Joe is next out and says he wants a fight too but unlike Dean, he does want a title match. Here comes Seth Rollins who reminds Joe that he beat him at SummerSlam. The Viper Randy Orton enters the arena next and tells Seth Rollins to go to the back of the line because it's time for Orton to get back on top of WWE Dreams. Roman Reigns interrupts Randy and says there's a new big dog in WWE Dreams and it's him. The lights go out and come on and Bray Wyatt is standing in the middle of the ring surrounded by the other Superstars. He says nothing and just laughs. This chaos is put to an end by the new general managers of RAW and SmackDown Live respectively...Triple H and Stephanie McMahon! They talk about the upcoming draft and announce that RAW and SmackDown Live begin next week. They announce that this season's pay-per-views will all be joint-branded and at the next one, No Mercy,  both the WWE and Universal Championships will be defended. There will be two Fatal 4-Ways taking place on RAW and SmackDown Live to decide the challengers. Triple H books an 8-Man Tag Team Match for the main event featuring the 8 Superstars that will be part of the two 4-Ways. On one side, it will be the team of Finn Balor, Samoa Joe, Randy Orton, and Bray Wyatt vs Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, and John Cena! Stephanie books a Champion vs Champion Match between Styles and Roode later on as well. Bobby Roode intentionally got counted out to avoid facing Styles in that match. In the main event, Finn Balor pinned Roman Reigns to win the match for his team.

Also to note, Sheamus found Cesaro alone at a bar. Both down on their luck after losing their titles last season, they agreed they'd team up to go after the Tag Team Titles. Braun Strowman returned to WWE Dreams after being exiled from The Wyatt Family and defeated Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas. Charlotte defeated Alexa Bliss to retain her RAW Women's Championship. Finn Balor won the Slammy Award for Rookie and Superstar of the Year, AJ Styles and Samoa Joe won Match of the Year, Goldberg won Champion of the Year, Charlotte won Female Superstar of the Year, and Goldust and Stardust won Tag Team of the Year and Goldust announced he was taking a break from wrestling to go into directing.

The next post will be the draft results.

SDL

Week 2 & 3 Storylines

After the announcement that Mr. America is Coming, Kevin Owens claimed to be the only real American in WWE Dreams and to prove it, he re-introduced the United States Championship and SDL GM Stephanie McMahon named Kevin Owens a contender. His opponent was decided in a Battle Royal featuring Daniel Bryan, Baron Corbin, Shinsuke Nakamura, Tye Dillinger, Aiden English, and Rusev. Daniel Bryan won and will face Kevin Owens for the United States Title.

SDL Tag Team Champions The Usos issued an open challenge for their titles. The Prime Time Players answered that challenge but were unsuccessful in winning. The New Day then challenged The Usos next.

The SDL Women’s Champion will be determined at No Mercy. Sasha Banks defeated Natalya to qualify for the match but before Naomi could face Carmella in the second qualifier, Tamina attacked Naomi from behind. Carmella was declared the winner and will face Sasha Banks at No Mercy.

Seth Rollins defeated Bray Wyatt, John Cena, & Dean Ambrose to challenge Bobby Roode for the WWE Championship at No Mercy. Maryse returned to WWE Dreams to manage Bobby Roode. She was able to negotiate that the title match be a Double Jeopardy Match meaning if Bobby Roode has to put something on the line, so does Seth Rollins. Bobby Roode claimed Seth Rollins is not champion material because of how he looks and dresses. Bobby Roode said if Seth Rollins loses, he must shave, wear a suit, and become Bobby Roode’s personal assistant. Seth Rollins immediately accepted the stipulation.

Dean Ambrose called out John Cena on Twitter for costing him a shot at the WWE Title. John Cena called out Dean Ambrose on SDL and said if he had a problem with him to settle it at No Mercy. SDL GM Stephanie McMahon made the match official.

RAW

Week 4 Headlines

Roman Reigns kicked off the final RAW show before No Mercy by calling out Braun Strowman so they could finish what they started last week. Braun Strowman stomped to the ring and the fight was back on. Roman Reigns would get the better of the Monster Among Men this week by Spearing him through the barricade!

Finn Bálor addressed Sami Zayn’s request for a title match and said if that’s what Sami Zayn needs to prove he’s a big boy then he’s on...just not tonight. Sami Zayn headed for the ring but was attacked by Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson. The Bálor Club destroyed Sami Zayn.

Universal Champion AJ Styles calls out Randy Orton and says there’s no need for sneak attacks. Let’s do this right now! Randy Orton attempts to sneak in the ring and hit an RKO but AJ Styles saw it coming and nailed Randy Orton with a pele kick. Randy Orton ran away.

Cesaro defeated Dash Wilder last week but Scott Dawson picked up the victory over Sheamus this week by using the ropes during the pin. Who will win the RAW Tag Team Titles at No Mercy?

Champion and challenger were forced to team up as Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch took on Emma and Alicia Fox. At the same time, Becky Lynch made Emma tap to the Dis-Arm-Her and Charlotte Flair locked in the Figure 8 on Alicia Fox and made her tap. They then stared each other down and Charlotte Flair held the RAW Women’s Title high in the air.

SDL

Week 4 Headlines

Daniel Bryan is in the ring when SmackDown Live comes on the air. He asks the crowd if they want to see a United States Championship Match...tonight! They all chant "YES!" before SDL GM Stephanie McMahon comes out. She reminds everyone that she makes the decisions around here, not Daniel Bryan and certainly not the fans. And she says there will not be a title match tonight. The fans chant "NO!" Kevin Owens then comes through the crowd, slides in the ring, and delivers a Pop-Up Powerbomb to Daniel Bryan.

Dean Ambrose is interviewed backstage and is asked about facing John Cena at No Mercy. He says he's looking forward to exposing John Cena for who he truly is. John Cena steps in and says who he truly is, is someone who will get right in the face of the man he has a problem with and tell him like a man, not like a coward behind a keyboard. Dean Ambrose smiles and gets right in John Cena's face and says, "I got a problem with you." John Cena says he'll see Dean Ambrose at No Mercy.

The New Day faced the Prime Time Players to become the new #1 Contenders for the SDL Tag Team Titles. The champs, The Usos, were ringside on commentary. The New Day were victorious and will next challenge The Usos.

Carmella and Sasha Banks exchanged a few words before they compete at No Mercy for the SDL Women's Championship. Sasha Banks tells Carmella that she doesn't belong in this match and she has no idea what's coming to her. Carmella slaps the Boss and superkicks her.

Seth Rollins and Bobby Roode are in the ring to sign the contract for their match. The official stipulations are if Seth Rollins defeats Bobby Roode, he wins the WWE Championship. If Bobby Roode defeats Seth Rollins, then Seth Rollins must shave, put on a suit, and carry out any and all demands given by Bobby Roode. Maryse came from behind and low blow'd Seth Rollins. Bobby Roode delivered the Glorious DDT before pulling out an electric razor from under the table. He hands it to Maryse and holds Seth Rollins down. Maryse shaves off some of Seth Rollins' hair and the champ and his manager smile while holding Seth Rollins' hair over him.

Background

At SummerSlam, Bobby Roode defeated Triple H, John Cena, and Bray Wyatt to win the WWE Championship. On SDL, Seth Rollins defeated Bray Wyatt, John Cena, and Dean Ambrose to become the number one contender. The following week, Bobby Roode challenged Seth Rollins to put something on the line at No Mercy as well. Bobby Roode doesn't believe Seth Rollins looks like a champion so Roode said if he wins, Seth Rollins must shave, put on a suit, and become the champion's personal assistant. Seth Rollins immediately agreed to the stipulation. On the last SDL before No Mercy, champion and challenger signed the contract for their match. Bobby Roode's manager Maryse delivered a low blow to Rollins and Roode hit the Glorious DDT. He then pulled out an electric shaver and Maryse shaved off part of Seth Rollins' hair.

Finn Balor and AJ Styles competed in a WrestleMania rematch at SummerSlam for the brand new Universal Championship. Styles defeated Balor to win the title. Randy Orton defeated Finn Balor, Roman Reigns, and Samoa Joe to challenge AJ Styles for the Universal Championship at No Mercy. The following week, Randy Orton interfered after Styles' match with Dolph Ziggler and delivered the RKO to the champion. The week before No Mercy, AJ called out Orton to face him like a man. Orton again tried a sneak attack but Styles countered it and the challenger ran off.

Charlotte Flair has overcome every challenger for her Women's Championship. When she was drafted to RAW as the RAW Women's Champion, Becky Lynch challenged her, saying Charlotte has never beaten her. Charlotte accepted the challenge. On the last RAW, Charlotte and Lynch teamed up against Alicia Fox and Emma and won the match via a double submission. The women stared each other down as Charlotte held her title up high in the air.

As a result of the Women's Championship going to RAW via the draft, SDL created their own Women's Championship. There were two qualifying matches to determine the two Superstars who would compete at No Mercy for the title. In the first match, Sasha Banks defeated Natalya. In the second match, Naomi was attacked by Tamina before her match with Carmella. Naomi was unable to compete and Carmella was declared the winner. Carmella slapped and kicked Banks on SDL after Sasha said Carmella has no right being in the match.

Cesaro and Sheamus agreed to team up to become champions again. They defeated The Ascension in their first match. Former WWE Tag Team Champions The Revival defeated American Alpha the following week. RAW GM Triple H announced Cesaro & Sheamus and The Revival will face each other at No Mercy to determine the RAW Tag Team Champions. Cesaro defeated Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson defeated Sheamus in singles action on RAW.

Braun Strowman returned to WWE Dreams after being exiled from the Wyatt Family and demanded competition. Roman Reigns stepped up to the Monster Among Men and a brawl ensued. Strowman put Roman through a table backstage and last week on RAW, Reigns Speared Braun through the barricade.

Dean Ambrose called out John Cena on social media for being fake. John Cena called out Dean Ambrose on SDL for being a coward. They agreed to settle their problems with each other in a match at No Mercy.

Event

The first match was for the SDL Women's Championship. Carmella was out first, followed by Sasha Banks, but she was attacked by Tamina. This was just like the assault on Naomi on SDL. Tamina kicked Banks and tossed her in the ring where Carmella looked to pick the bones. She went for the pin but Sasha kicked out. Carmella and Tamina stared at each other in disbelief. Carmella picked up Sasha but the Boss countered and applied the Bank Statement on Carmella who tapped out. Sasha Banks is the SDL Women's Champion.

The second match was John Cena vs Dean Ambrose and it could end up being Match of the Year already. The end came when Cena set Ambrose up on the top turnbuckle for a Super AA. Dean countered and shoved Cena off. He then leaped off the top rope and dropkicked Cena right in the face and followed it up with the third Dirty Deeds of the match to put away John Cena. After the match, they shook hands as a show of respect.

In the third match, Cesaro and Sheamus took on The Revival for the RAW Tag Team Championship. This was a hard-hitting, smash-mouth fight that ended when Cesaro delivered a vicious uppercut to Scott Dawson.

Another video was shown hyping the debut of Mr. America. RAW and SDL GMs Triple H and Stephanie McMahon were backstage arguing which brand was going to sign Mr. America. On the monitor next to them, United States Champion Kevin Owens is making his way to the ring. Triple H says Mr. America is coming to RAW because Stephanie already has a Mr. America on SDL. He then says he's going to have a talk with KO. Kevin Owens says he doesn't care who this Mr. America is but as long as he has the United States Championship, he's the only Face of America. Daniel Bryan comes out and says it's a face only a mother could love. He promises to beat Kevin Owens and become the new United States Champion. Triple H comes out with Stephanie following. Triple H explains to Kevin Owens that since this is a pay-per-view, he can make decisions that affect not only RAW Superstars but SDL Superstars as well. He makes an impromptu United States Championship between Owens and Bryan.

Daniel Bryan looked like he was about to win the title when Kevin Owens rolled out of the ring. Bryan went after him and Owens hit him with the belt, causing the disqualification.

In the fifth match, Charlotte Flair defended the RAW Women's Championship against Becky Lynch. After a Spear and Natural Selection, Charlotte defeated Lynch to continue her dominance over the women's division.

In the sixth match, AJ Styles defended the Universal Championship against Randy Orton. This was a back-and-forth contest but the match was called off when Samoa Joe interfered and attacked both men.

In the seventh match, Roman Reigns faced Braun Strowman. The ring could not contain these two. Strowman paid Reigns back for RAW and Speared Roman through the barricade. They then fought all over the arena and the referee counted them both out. Security broke up the fight and separated the two.

There's an announcement that NXT is returning soon.

In the main event, Seth Rollins challenged Bobby Roode for the WWE Championship. If Rollins loses, he becomes Roode's personal assistant. The bell rung and Rollins immediately ran at Roode and kicked him in the head. Seth continued the offense, completely catching the champion off guard. Roode would roll out of the ring and hide behind Maryse. Seth would still dive out of the ring taking out the Glorious One. Back in the ring, Seth delivered a Super Kick to Bobby and went for the pin but Maryse distracted the referee. This allowed Roode to low blow Rollins. He went for the pin but Rollins kicked out. Roode would then go for the Glorious DDT but Seth reversed it into the King's Landing. 1...2...3! Seth Rollins is the new WWE Champion.

Braun Strowman defeated Roman Reigns after Powerslamming him through a chain-link fence

Samoa Joe showed footage of the Fatal 4-Way from three weeks ago. It showed Finn Balor tapping out to Joe before Randy Orton pinned Roman Reigns to win the match. However, it took place outside the ring. Joe said it didn’t matter and can’t fathom why he wasn’t part of the Universal Championship Match at No Mercy or why he wasn’t on the card at all. He called out AJ Styles and said they have unfinished business and unlike last year, he doesn’t need seven matches to beat AJ, he only needs one. Instead of the Universal Champion, Samoa Joe gets Randy Orton. The Viper said what Joe did at No Mercy, frankly, really pissed him off and he’s going to make sure it never happens again. Orton charges at Joe and they begin to fight. AJ Styles rushes to the ring and delivers a Phenomenal Forearm to Orton. AJ celebrates but forgets about Joe who comes up behind the Universal Champion and locks him in the Coquina Clutch. Styles passes out and Joe holds up the Universal Championship.

Sami Zayn and the RAW Tag Team Champions Sheamus & Cesaro defeated The Balor Club (Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows, & United Kingdom Champion Finn Balor)

Charlotte Flair gloats about her victory at No Mercy. She says she’s beaten them all: Trish Stratus, Asuka, Natalya, Alexa Bliss, Becky Lynch. She says there is no woman in the locker room that can measure up to her. Nia Jax disagreed. Nia slowly walked to the ring where the RAW Women’s Champion stood in fear. As soon as Jax stepped through the ropes, Charlotte bailed.
