BPZ FIFA 18 Tournament

Recommended Posts

So since we have never seen who is the best at FIFA here on the forums, I have made this tournament to see who the best is. It is a 16 player knockout tournament, and to sign up just say your in and what team you are going to use, if a team is picked once then they can't be used again. Once a game is played please screenshot the result and send it to me via PS messages. May the best man win (Me).

Group A: Played Wins Draws Losses Goals for Goals against Goal difference Points     RESULTS   RESULTS
Slim 5 3 1 1 18 4 4 10   Group A - Slim 5-4 Sameer Group B - Bash 4-2 Monda
Smith 3 2 1 0 9 3 6 7     Slim 5-1 Summer   George 5-4 Ropati

RedArrow 3 0 0 3 2 9 -7 0

And after 1 days worth of games this is how things are looking at the moment. I am the only person to have a 100% record, in what seems to be the closest group points wise, but keep in mind, Bart is yet to play and may be a game changer. Speaking of group B, if RedArrow doesnt win his next game in Group B against Bart then he nearly eliminated so the pressure is well and truly on him right now. However, in group A we have the only player to have had played all of his games, that being Slim. With a 3 win, 1 draw, 1 loss record things are looking good for him and if you add the fact that he has the most amount of goals scored and is the only person to be confirmed as being in the next round, things are looking good for Slim. But by far for me the standout story is Nate and St Pats. The lowest star rated team, with a rating of a measly one star. And somehow he is third in his group and unbeaten! But anyway, the past day has been interesting as well look forward to tomorrow and more games.

SUMMER has officially dropped out of the tournament too. This is because he is not allowed on discord for a week, so we have made the executive decision to replace him so we can get games going, sorry @SummerGamz. In other news, the people replacing Summer and Bart have been announced as Keiron Black and Josh. Keiron is replacing Summer in group A and will therefore be Bayern Munich. And Josh has replaced Bart in group B meaning he is Real Madrid. Also, all scores in games played against Summer are no longer valid. If you played Summer then you need to play Keiron now. Sorry for any inconvenience.

After a few more nights of games and people dropping out and new people coming in this is how the groups look.

Group A - With two people (Smith and Prince) having completed all their games, and over like Nate, Slim and Sameer with one game left. And of course Kieron who has only played 2 games. It looks like we could have a close end to Group A, with Kieron trying to steal a place in the knockout rounds from Prince or Nate. However, at the top of the group. Smith has officially won group A. Dropping only 2 points in a draw against Nate, Smith has dominated his group and is the sure favourite in this tournament. Meanwhile second place in Group A is most likely going to be Slim.

Group B - With no clear runaway winner. Anyone could be the number one seed in Group B. With myself losing both my unbeaten and 100% record to Bash in a close game, Bash, Ropati, Josh or myself could finish first. One main thing that remains the same in this group is a player on 0 games played, nice. However, this group looks very much like it is going to go down to the wire, with maybe a late RedArrow push sending shivers down the spine of Monda sitting in fourth, or could Josh, who has never played a game of FIFA against anyone on the fourms shock everyone and win the group. It really is all to play for.

After another few days of games this is how the groups look.

Group A - Only one thing has changed in this group and it has had huge repercussions on the rest of the group. After being the first player eliminated, Sameer decided to drop out of the tournament a few minutes after the last update. Therefore, the one man he hadn't played yet, Kieron gets a free 3-0 win. You may think this will make no difference but! Kieron is now 5th, one point behind Prince with 2 games in hand over him and a better goal difference. If you combine that with the fact that Prince has no more games left, then he may be in trouble. That is the same for Nate and Slim too, who are the two players who have to play Kieron. Although both of these men are through, it is not one hundred percent certain where they will finish in their group. So be ready for a tight ending to this group.

Group B - No we move from tight to not tight. As after the executive decision to disqualify Josh from the tournament due to inactivity. Everyone in the group has gained a free 3-0 win. Meaning that we have everyone going through and out confirmed. As sadly, RedArrow and Josh are going out and Monda, Bash, Ropati and Myself are going through. However, with only one game remaining in the tournament, only one of the top four have a confirmed position. This is due to Bash still having to play RedArrow, meaning the top three could alter. We may see Ropati third, or George second with Bash winning the group, unless there is an upset. Be tuned for more news in what may be a tight end for both group stages.
