Indy Talent Pleads Guilty To Having Inappropriate Child Pictures In Possession

Recommended Posts

SILive.com is reporting independent professional wrestler Rude Boy Riley (James Riley) has pleaded guilty to child pornography charges after being arrested last March at his home.

Riley was busted on March 29 of last year after police found ten images on Riley’s iPhone that featured children under age 16 engaging in sexual acts. Additionally, it was determined Riley uploaded nine of those images to his Google account in 2014, with the other being posted on his Tumblr account.

He pled guilty in State Supreme Court this week to a felony count of “possessing a sexual performance by a child”, and he will now be placed on interim-supervision probation for two years. If he successfully completes his probation terms, he will be sentenced to five days in jail. Riley must now also register as a sex offender.

Riley was dropped from a number of independent bookings, and was fired from his job at Orange Theory Fitness as a trainer after news of his arrest went public.

Riley will return to court on April 18th, and he remains free on $3,500 bond. Andrew Weinstein, Riley’s lawyer, offered the following statement:

“Mr. Riley looks forward to putting this matter behind him and moving on with his life.”

I'm glad he was fired and dropped from independent bookings. Anyone who would still book him so soon after he pleaded guilty of such acts is disgusting. The fact that he might get away with only five days in jail is also disgusting. He should be locked up for at least a year, being given some sort of mental help until he's safe to be apart of society again. With these weak punishments, it wouldn't surprise me if he carries on where he left off. Absolutely vile.

To be honest, I've never heard of this dude to my knowledge and I am glad. I am glad that he was charged and pleaded guilty to this crime. Hopefully, this guy gets the help that he needs and is able to change his ways. However, I have to agree with Smith. I am glad he was fired and dropped from his bookings. I also know he should do more than five days in prison. Also in regards to putting this matter behind him and moving on with his life, that will be extremely hard to do as this kind of thing doesn't go away and will follow you around the rest of your life. I don't know what his mindset was or why he chose to have those kinds of pictures but whatever the reason, I don't think it was worth throwing your life away because that is exactly what has and will happen as it's highly unlikely that this dude will be able to wrestle ever again or live a normal life for that matter.
