A 2K18 Universe Mode Series?

Recommended Posts

A new, simulated 2K18 Universe Mode series is beginning soon. There will be two brands (Raw & SmackDown). A draft has taken place and the rosters are set. This UM gives a focus on tag team wrestling, which is why each brand has over 10 teams. In this UM, members of a tag team or stable will only compete for the tag team titles. Speaking of championships, special tournaments will be held before the first official show to determine the first champions. These tournaments and the seeding have been randomly generated. For Raw, there will be a Raw Women’s/Raw Tag/Undisputed Championship Tournament. For SmackDown, there will be a SD Women’s/SD Tag/World Heavyweight Championship Tournament. There will also be a SD vs Raw Tournament to determine the Universal Champion. Whomever holds the Universal Championship must compete and defend the title on both brands. If they are defeated, they will return to competing solely on the brand they were drafted to and the new champion will then begin competing on both shows. Both brands will also have their own exclusive ppv events. You can get all the information on rosters, events, and tournaments below:

Undisputed Championship

First Round

Elias def. Apollo Crews in 3:26

After fighting outside the ring for a bit, Apollo Crews sent Elias back in the ring. After a couple pinfall attempts from both Superstars, Elias hit the Drift Away and a swinging neckbreaker for the win.

Bobby Roode def. No Way Jose in 7:55

Both Superstars countered every move the other had. Both connected with their finishing moves and both kicked out of pins. No Way Jose controlled most of the match afterwards but was eventually put away by the Glorious DDT.

John Cena def. Curtis Axel in 7:05

Curtis Axel dominated John Cena in this match, coming close to victory on several occasions. However, Cena busted Axel open and then targeted the wound. Axel would kick out at 1 after an AA but would ultimately tap to the STF.

JBL def. Bo Dallas in 4:35

It was hard to say who had the edge as this match started off but after a Fallaway Slam from the second rope, JBL defeated Bo Dallas with the Clothesline from Hell.

Stay tuned for the Semi-Finals featuring Elias vs Bobby Roode and John Cena vs JBL.
