NXT: May 1st 2019

After the monumental announcement from William Regal last week that Full-Sail University will host the next NXT TakeOver event later this month, this weeks episode shapes up as being important as we look to continue filling out the card after two matches were announced last week. On schedule for tonight we have a huge Main Event, where the seeming unstoppable Dominik Dijakovic comes up against Fenix, as well as seeing The Forgotten Sons back in action after their TakeOver defeat. But first we head to the ring for some tag-team action

Brazilia vs Eric Bugenhagen and No Way Jose

Jaoude_%26_Bononi_Axxess_2018_crop.jpg Image result for eric bugenhagen nxt gifImage result for No Way Jose gif

After Eric Bugenhagen found himself in some trouble against Brazilia over the last couple of weeks, former NXT superstar No Way Jose came out to make the save and now these two extravagant superstars get the chance to team up and face Adrian Jaoude and Cezar Bononi. Brazilia were less than impressed with the Party antics of Jose and Bugenhagen and looked to use their menace to their advantage. That was not meant to be however as Bugenhagen and Jose worked tremendously together and secured the victory. Both men danced the night away to end the segment, victorious in this tag-team match

Punishment Martinez is bringing the NXT Championship Home

Paul Ellering and his newest client Punishment Martinez make their way out to the ring to hype up the NXT Championship match at TakeOver: Homecoming. Ellering spoke about how Johnny could never be able to counter the size, power and speed of Punishment and therefore stands no chance in hell during their takeover match. Ellering then stated that Punishment wants to give Johnny Gargano a front-row seat to utter demolition and challenged any person in the locker room to a match next week

The Forgotten Sons vs Flash Morgan Webster and Mark Andrews

Related image Image result for Flash Morgan Webster and Mark Andrews

The Forgotten Sons were in action next taking on the impressive tag-team of Flash Morgan Webster and Mark Andrews from NXT UK. Webster and Andrews brought their high-flying offence to start the match but, the grit and grind offence of Blake and Cutler was too much as they overpowered their opponents and took away their biggest strength, speed. The Forgotten Sons picked up the win with the Lost and Damned as they look to rebuild after their TakeOver loss to the Undisputed Era

Belair demands a Steel Cage match at TakeOver

We are shown a clip of the fallout that ensued after Belair and Catanzaro were attacked by Baszler last week with Bianca demanding that William Regal make their match at TakeOver a Steel Cage. Regal accepts Belair's demands but warns her that locking Shayna Baszler inside a steel cage might not be the best thing for her and her career

Aggressive Street Profits

Backstage the Undisputed Era are cutting a promo on how they are unstoppable as a Tag-Team and can't wait to assert their dominance when they face new competition at TakeOver: Homecoming. Suddenly, The Era are attacked from behind by the Street Profits who start going ballistic, throwing members of the Undisputed Era all over the backstage area and causing general havoc. Before dragging their fallen bodies to the office of William Regal. Regal states that he doesn't like this new Street Profits but will give them the match they have been craving making it official. At TakeOver, The Undisputed Era will take on The Street Profits for the NXT Tag-Team Championships

Fenix vs Dominik Dijakovic

Image result for Fenix gif wrestling Image result for dijakovic gif

In a battle of David vs Goliath, both Dijakovic and Fenix put on an amazing match, with both men having moments when they came so close to winning. In the final sequence, Dijakovic was looking for the Feast Your Eyes but Keith Lee rushed to the ring with a Steel Chair and started beating down Dijakovic to cause the DQ. Both men brawled all the way to the back when North-American Champion, Matt Riddle appeared and congratulated Fenix on his performance. Riddle then accepted Fenix's challenge for TakeOver and both men shook hands to end the show. Yet another match announced for a seemingly stacked card as Fenix battles Matt Riddle for the NXT North-American Championship

Thursday Night Smackdown - April 30th, 2019

Image result for Johnny Gargano promo gif

Gargano Is Ready For Bryan
To kick off Smackdown Live, the NXT champion would come to the ring without his title, as he talks about competing in both NXT and WWE and the challenges it brings, but he says no challenge is more important to him right now then going head to head with Daniel Bryan at Backlash.
Gargano continues to speak, with the crowd following closely before Daniel Bryan would come out and say that he got one thing wrong, last week, Bryan did no attack Gargano. It was this man, and as Bryan smiles, Erik Rowan attacks Gargano from behind. Hitting him with a chokeslam before walking up the ramp with Daniel Bryan.

Image result for Braun Strowman gifImage result for Luke Harper gif

Strowman/Dain vs Joe/Harper
In a collision you could call a bullfight, the four men in the United States championship fatal fourway match would take eachother on in a tag team match, and as the four men make there entrances, you can feel the hatred coming off each men.
The tag match would be hard hitting and brutal, as guys like Harper and Dain would hit unexpected diving moves while Strowman takes it to the outside and sends Joe through the barricade, steel steps would also come into play when the ref would be down, and after a hard fought battle, it would be Luke Harper pinning Braun Strowman after Killain Dain would hit his partner with his finisher move.
At Backlash, its going to be even more crazy, because there will be no teams, and every one of these men want the United States championship!

Image result for wwe Moment Of Bliss gif

Moment Of Bliss
Smackdown Live would have its very own "Moment Of Bliss' for the first time ever, as Alexa Bliss is here to interview Ricochet on his upcoming matchup at Backlash, but as Alexa is sitting in her chair, there is no sign of Ricochet.
As the fans chant "Becky", Becky Lynch walks out from behind the corner and slowly goes and sits down in a chair, staring at Alexa Bliss who acts disgusted before trying to walk away. As she does, Becky Lynch stands up and blocks her off, raising her title in the air. In just 3 days, these two women go to war for the Womens Championship!

Image result for Shinsuke Nakamura entrance gifImage result for Ali entrance gif

Shinsuke Nakamura vs Ali
Two of the best international stars on Smackdown Live, Mufasa Ali and Shinsuke Nakamura would go one on one in an amazing matchup. As both men made there entrances, the crowd would be hyped as this is a sort of dream match inside the realms of WWE.
Ali would use his impressive moves to counter Nakamuras unique offense and would pick up the win with his famous 054 finisher, however, after the match the former United States champion Rusev would come to the ring and would attack Ali. And as Nakamura and Rusev attack Ali, it would be Rey Mysterio who would come out and save Ali, and as the four men stare down we may have two new tag teams in WWE!

Image result for Andrade Cien Almas gif

Champion
The WWE champion, Andrade "Cien" Almas would get his very own video package, highlighting his skills inside the ring and Zelina Vega. It would show his championship win and his road to Wrestlemania, as well as show Ricochet being hurt. At Backlash, Andrade "Cien" Almas defends his championship against Ricochet and its an interesting battle for sure!

Image result for Finn Balor entrance gifImage result for Big E entrance gif

Finn Balor vs Big E
Finn Balor and Big E would go against eachother in one on one action as both men have something to prove as singles competitors on Smackdown Live. Big E comes out to New Day music, and cuts a promo on how he respects his New Day brother. But all things come to an end, and that Big E is no longer going to be the New Day. Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods hug Big E as they continue up the ramp.
In the match, it would be a battle as both Balor and E would hit huge moves, and it would be back and forth. However, Finn Balor would pin Big E. As Balor celebrates, Big E walks up the ramp past his former New Day brothers, bumping into them.

Image result for Ricochet entrance gifImage result for Sheamus Entrance gif

Ricochet vs Sheamus
In the main event of the night, it would be Ricochet taking on Sheamus in one on one action. These two know eachother so well from the past few months, and we see this in there match as it is back and fourth. With Ricochet using his speed to stay away from Sheamus.
Eventually, the number one contender would reverse the celtic cross into a pin and get the roll up victory, celebrating as Sheamus looks pissed off in the corner. But as Sheamus tries to attack Ricochet, Ricochet hits a deadly kick and knocks Sheamus out.
However, just as Ricochet is taunting, he would be cut off by a title being slammed into the back of his head, as Andrade laughs at a hurt Ricochet. Posing, as Smackdown Live, comes to an end.

205 Live - May 3rd, 2019
Before tonight's cruiserweight action, a video package showcasing the WWE Universal Championship match at Backlash where the ever-resilient champion, Seth Rollins, will take on two destructive forces in Lars Sullivan and Kevin Owens. As we return to the show, Nigel McGuinness introduces us to an exciting night on 205 Live where Drew Gulak and Tony Nese will finally go head to head, and Evan Bourne will defend the WWE Cruiserweight Championship against Gran Metalik.

Evan Bourne Talks Ahead Of Upcoming Title Defenses
Animated GIF
The WWE Cruiserweight Champion, Evan Bourne, would start the show with a few words, as he will be defending his title tonight against Gran Metalik as well as at Backlash only days later against Lio Rush. Speaking of which, Lio Rush would interrupt the champion and the two would continue to go back and forth over the microphone until Rush would finish with a joke, mentioning something about an 'insurance policy', before leaving with a smug face.

Drew Gulak vs Tony Nese
Animated GIF     Animated GIF
For months, the tension between Gulak and Nese has only heightened to the point where they can't even stand in the same room without throwing hands at each other. Tonight, they are given the chance to do exactly that in a one on one match. In the end, Tony Nese is disqualified after he would grow too heated, ignoring the referee's count and continuing to beat down on Gulak. Despite the match being stopped, the two would continue to fight, brawling all over the arena until Christian would finally stop them and grant them a rematch in a falls count anywhere matchup.

Chad Gable Promises He Will Not Stop
Animated GIF
Last week Chad Gable came up short in a triple threat to decide the #1 Contender to the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. However, tonight, Gable takes the time in an interview to make it clear that the loss was only a bump in the road, the road to becoming WWE Cruiserweight Champion and proving himself as one of the best cruiserweights, or even one of the best wrestlers, in the company.

Evan Bourne vs Gran Metalik

The second and final match of the night would see Evan Bourne defend his WWE Cruiserweight Championship against Gran Metalik. "The King Of The Ropes" would push the champion to his limits but the wave of momentum Bourne has been riding since returning at WrestleMania continues to prove unstoppable. Bourne retains the title and goes on to defend it against "The Man Of The Hour", Lio Rush, at Backlash.

Cruiserweight Tag Team Championship Contenders Face-Off

This week's 205 Live would come to an end with a face-off between Balor Club and the team of Noam Dar & TJ Perkins, supervised by the General Manager of 205 Live, Christian, and the CEO of WWE, Triple H. These two teams will be going head to head at Backlash for the right to be named the inaugural WWE Cruiserweight Tag Team Champions. Karl Anderson explains how he and his brothers have been battling for years in WWE now and this is their chance, especially for Anderson, to put their name down in WWE history forever. However, Dar and Perkins reply by pointing out that they've been giving their all into the cruiserweight division since it's creation. With the crowd split between the two teams, this bout is set to be a thriller.

WWE Backlash Match Card Preview

Poster Credit: Hans

Its been a long road for the WWE superstars since Wrestlemania, with champions changing, feuds brewing, and shocks all around the Smackdown and RAW locker rooms, its all come to a boiling point. Can a beast slayer stand on top of the mountain against two hungry challengers, can a young champion end the momentum of the one and only? Its the first WWE pay per view since Wrestlemania 35, and its going to be a night to remember.

Seth Rollins (C) vs Kevin Owens vs Lars Sullivan - Universal Championship

For the past several years , Seth Rollins has been the forefront of Monday Night RAW and finally, he has the main championship. He is on top of the mountain and two hungry challengers, two dominant superstars. Lars Sullivan made his debut at the Royal Rumble PPV, eliminating 50% of the field, and he went on to win the battle royal at Wrestlemania. He is dominant, scary, and may very well be the next champion. Next, is Kevin Owens, an experienced, former champion trying to bring the title back around his shoulder. Its going to be a fight for sure, but who will walk out as Universal Champion?

Andrade "Cien" Almas (C) vs Ricochet - WWE Championship

The world was in shock when Ricochet defeated Daniel Bryan on the night after Wrestlemania, earning himself a match against the new champion, Andrade. These two, practically rookies to WWE are getting the shot at a lifetime as Andrade "Cien" Almas has been all around the Smackdown Live rankings, getting on the fans badsides, not showing up to matches. Ricochet wants to end the run of Andrade early, and with being quite possibly the best wrestler in the world. Almost no one does it better then Ricochet, and he may very well become the next WWE champion.

Pete Dunne (C) vs The Velveteen Dream - Intercontinental Championship

Pete Dunne has had some of the greatest matches of the year with his run as champion, taking out foes such as Tyler Bate, Bobby Roode, and more. But at Backlash he may be taking on his biggest opponent to date. The Velveteen Dream, the former North American champion who might be the most sought after free agent in the company. These two have completely opposite skills inside the ring and when it comes to Backlash this Sunday, its going to be one hell of a fight.

Image result for becky lynchImage result for Alexa Bliss

Becky Lynch (C) vs Alexa Bliss - Womens Championship

At Wrestlemania 35, one women would walk out with the now unified womens championships. That womens name is Becky Lynch, Lynch has done everything in her power to become the top star in WWE and at Wrestlemania she defeated Ronda Rousey to do just that. However, the returning Alexa Bliss won the Womens Battle Royal at the big stage. Earning herself a match against the lass kicker, after multiple war of words, stare downs, it all comes to blow and Alexa Bliss may very well sneak out with the championship on her shoulder, or can Becky Lynch retain in her first defense?

Braun Strowman (C) vs Samoa Joe vs Killian Dain vs Luke Harper - United States Championship

Godzilla vs King Kong, Transformers vs Deceptions, out of all the giant battles in entertainment history almost non amount to this. As 4 of the largest men on Smackdown Live will be butting heads in a fatal fourway match. When Braun Strowman made his debut on Smackdown Live the night after Wrestlemania and defeated Samoa Joe, everyone knew we were in for a long run. But it may come to an abrupt end, as this may be the toughest match to call of the night. As all 4 men have been dominant, and could easily walk away the winner. Who will win this brawl?

The Revival vs The All Americans (Shelton Benjiman/Jason Jordan) - WWE Tag Team Championship

The newly crowned WWE Tag Team Champions, The Revival, walked out of Wrestlemania champions and have been scouting their possible opponents for weeks, War Raiders, Sainty, and more were thrown around in the mix but the one team who stood above all were the brand new team of Shelton Benjamin and Jason Jordan, who are "The All Americans", and they are athletically gifted and may defeat The Revival, or will the heelish tag team come out on top once again?

Tomasso Ciampa vs Randy Orton - Falls Count Anywhere

Ever since his arrival on the main roster, Ciampa has been in a war with Randy Orton. The two brand new RAW superstars have collided backstage, in the ring, in the crowd, parking lot, everywhere and it all has ended the same way. With them being pulled apart from each other, and RAW gm Paul Heyman got sick of the attacking, and would schedule a match. A falls count anywhere match as both men will be able to get there anger out against one another, and it may be the most twisted match of the night.

Image result for Johnny GarganoImage result for Daniel Bryan

Johnny Gargano vs Daniel Bryan

Its been a long road for Daniel Bryan since losing his WWE championship, he lost a number one contenders match and has continued into a brand new, more aggressive behavior. Not wanting to give the fans a match, as he left Johnny Gargano in the ring when they were scheduled for a matchup. But due to constant attack on the mic, and interviews, Daniel Bryan would hire a man to attack Johnny Gargano. Now, at WWE Backlash. It'll be a dream match as Johnny Gargano and Daniel Bryan will go one on one, with the wildcard of Erick Rowan at ringside.

This Sunday, the inaugural WWE Cruiserweight Tag Team Champions will be crowned as Balor Club brothers, Finn Balor & Karl Anderson, take on the dynamic duo of 205 Live, Noam Dar & TJ Perkins. Both teams have already proved that they are viable champions after winning their qualifying matches in which Balor & Anderson beat Moustache Mountain whilst Dar & TJP defeated Nese & Gulak. Which team will put their names down in history and become the first-ever WWE Cruiserweight Tag Team Champions?

Evan Bourne (C) vs Lio Rush - Cruiserweight Championship

At WrestleMania 35, Evan Bourne made his sensational return to WWE after an almost five-year absence and captured the WWE Cruiserweight Championship, defeating six of the best cruiserweights the company has to offer in a seven-man ladder match. Since then, Bourne has proved himself as an honorable champion, defending the title twice, once against the former champion, Buddy Murphy, and once against the Cruiserweight Classic finalist, Gran Metalik. However, at Backlash, he will defend the title against "The Man Of The Hour", Lio Rush, who has been a stand-out performer within the cruiserweight division for almost a year. Moreover, Lio Rush promised Bourne that if he was somehow able to better him, Rush would have an 'insurance policy' ready and waiting. Is Lio Rush bluffing or will Bourne's momentous return be brought to a halt?

WWE Backlash

As the commentators welcome us to the show and the opening video package plays, we get a glimpse at some of tonights matches, Which includes every championship on the main roster plus more and I don't think its possible to be more excited. As the video ends and the pyro opens the show, the first theme to hit is non other than Samoa Joe.

Image result for Samoa Joe

Samoa Joe comes to the ring, the former United States champion has had a rough month getting back to this title picture and now, he has a chance to win back the title he lost just 3 weeks ago, and tonight he prepares for an absolute war.

Image result for Luke Harper

After leaving his partner behind, many fans thought what was next for Luke Harper. Harper joined in on the battle for the US championship and found his way into this fight and as he makes his entrance, with his new theme song, he is clearly here to dominate.

Image result for Killian Dain

Killian Dain, ever since leaving Sanity, has been dominant. He stood out inside an Elimination Chamber, and was a big role inside the Wrestlemania battle royal and is arguably the favorite in this matchup and as he walks down the ramp to his theme song and would enter the ring, talking trash to Harper and Joe as they wait for the champion.

Image result for braun strowman

The Champion Among Men. Throws his title to the side and runs down the ramp, as tonight its a war, he dives into the ring and the brawl begins almost instantly, as the crowd pops.

Braun Strowman (C) vs Luke Harper vs Killian Dain vs Samoa Joe - United States Championship

As the bell rings, its obvious what type of fight this would be. As all four men go at eachother, hitting shots that could stop a bus as Samoa Joe and Luke Harper stumble to the outside. As Killian Dain and Samoa Joe stare eachother down the crowd cheers. The match would continue on, as the four men would go on to use the announce table, barricade, and steel steps as weapons as Braun would rip apart the barricade before throwing a piece of it at Samoa Joe.

The near falls in the match would leave the crowd on edge as Luke Harper would hit a powerbomb, Killian Dain would hit his finishing top rove dive, and Samoa Joe would lock in the coquina clutch on every man. However, nothing would be enough, as Killian Dain would be able to take out Luke Harper, using the stage to his advantage.

Inside the ring, it would be former champion Samoa Joe taking the pinfall, as he would get hit by a running powerslam and pinned in the center of the ring, and in one of the biggest shocks of the night, Braun Strowman would win in yet another amazing opener. Braun Strowman may very well be United States champion...forever.

_

Image result for Tommaso Ciampa

Two a brand new theme song, Tomasso Ciampa walks out to a chrous of boos, tonight he takes on a man he has brawled with multiple times in the past weeks. He walks down the ramp and enters the ring, this is his first WWE PPV and he looks on at the stage, as his opponent walks down the ramp.

Image result for Randy Orton

The veteran, Randy Orton, would come to the ring as the fans cheer. Orton enters the ring and stares down the rookie, as the crowds chant "Ortons Gunna Kill You"

Tomasso Ciampa vs Randy Orton - Falls Count Anywhere

It would not take long for either man to go to the outside, as Orton and Ciampa would brawl into the crowd area where evrything from chairs to camera cables would be used to try and defeat the other. Even a running firemans carry drop onto a piece of staging would be hit. As the fight continues to the back, the crowd only gets more interested as more tools and weapons are used.

As the backstage brawl continues, Tomasso Ciampa is thrown into the roof of a car, and Orton and Ciampa would battle it out. Orton would slam Ciampa in the hood of the car, the door, and everything before the two would begin to make there way back to the ring.

However, before they could get to the ring, a masked wrestler would come out from behind and attack Orton. Slamming him down with a piledriver onto the stage, allowing Ciampa to pin and defeat Orton after a 15 minute war. But who is the masked man?

Finn Balor and Karl Anderson vs Darkins - Cruiserweight Tag Team Championship (Written By Smith)

Kicking off the show after WrestleMania, we start Backlash with the crowning of the inaugural WWE Cruiserweight Tag Team Champions as Finn Balor & Karl Anderson, representing Balor Club, take on Noam Dar & TJ Perkins of 205 Live. The championships themselves was announced by the CEO of WWE, Triple H, as he noticed the upsurge erupting within the cruiserweight division and capitalized on it by giving the competitors another set of gold to battle for. The General Manager of 205 Live, Christian, would then announce two contendership matches in which Dar & TJP would defeat Nese & Gulak and Balor & Anderson would defeat Moustache Mountain. Now, the two teams go head to head in a match that will go down in WWE history.

The match would begin with Balor & Anderson gaining a clear advantage. It would seem as though this would be a complete blowout with the former Universal Champion and his brother dominating the early goings but as the match would go on, Dar & TJP would fight back. After all, these two have been struggling to garner any momentum in the cruiserweight division for some months now and to let this opportunity slip would be devastating. The difference in wrestling styles would also be apparent as the Japanese trained Balor Club would rely on their strikes whereas Dar & TJP would show their impressive ability as technicians.

The match would come to an end when Noam Dar, a cruiserweight not known for his high-flying ability at all, would put his body on the line to take out Karl Anderson on the outside whilst inside the ring, TJP would be looking to force Balor to tap out with the TJP Clutch. However, Balor would roll over and kick at TJP's head until he would release the hold. Then, Balor would scale the ropes looking for the Coup De Grace but TJP would move out the way! TJP would make the tag to Dar and Balor would make the tag to Anderson. Instantly, Dar would catch Anderson with the Nova Roller and lock in the Champagne Kneebar! As Balor would attempt to break it up, TJP would catch him with a springboard DDT before joining Dar and locking in a knee bar of his own onto the other leg of Anderson, forcing him to tap out! Noam Dar and TJ Perkins have done it! Dar & Perkins are the inaugural WWE Cruiserweight Tag Team Champions!

Pete Dunne vs The Velveteen Dream - Intercontiental Championship

As the bell rings, the mind games from Velveteen Dream would only continue from his entrance. As he taunts Dunne, and hits various of Dunnes moves. But, the hard hitting style from the champion would come early on, as welts would build on the Dream. A brain buster off of the apron onto the floor would leave fans thinking that Dunnes reign was over.

However, the champion would kick out and the match would continue on for 20 more minutes. As Dunne and Dream go back and forth, trying to pin each other at any point. Pete Dunne would get hit by moves such as the Purple Rain Maker, but would kick out, and would eventually hit the Bitter End and pin Velveteen Dream in one of the best matches of 2019.

Pete Dunne would raise his title in the air, and walk up the ramp, as this man stands here, nearly impossible to stop. However, on top of the stage stands a man who was rumored to be signed with WWE once again. A former Intercontinental champion in his own right.....Cody Rhodes.

The Revival would give the All Americans there best tag team wrestling, separating the two opponents as Shelton Benjamin goes out early on the outside. However, throughout the 10 minute match, Jason Jordan would be able to fight off The Revival, even hitting a German suplex off of the apron to the outside.

As the match continues on, Shelton Benjiman is able to make a comeback and hit a moonsault off of the top rope, allowing Jordan to almost pin Scott Dawson in the ring, however, a submission move from Jason Jordan on Scott Dawson would signal the end. As he would tap out and new tag team champions would be crowned.

However, after the match, the GM of the tag team division, Edge. Would walk out and announce that, since Shelton Benjamin hit the referee when he came off of the moonsault, the referee has declared this a DQ. Edge apologizes to the All Americans before The Revival run through the crowd, still champions.

The crowd gives him a huge reaction as he walks down the ramp, but at the middle of the ramp he stops and turns, looking at the entrance ramp before the music of Luke Gallows would hit, Gallows would come down to the ring and fist bump Gargano. Has Gargano partnered with Luke Gallows?!

Daniel Bryan vs Johnny Gargano

It would be everything you would expect out of a Johnny Gargano vs Daniel Bryan match, as the two technical specialist would grapple throughout the beginning of the match, before speeding things up with skull piercing kicks and punches.

The big moves would follow, as the two would be in a constant battle of trying to one up eachother, as Daniel Bryan shows aggression he hasn't shown since losing his WWE championship. The true story would come when both men would be on the outside, and Luke Gallows and Erick Rowan would begin brawling. Both men going into the crowd, Daniel Bryan would use the advantage of a distracted Gargano to hit the running knee. Pinning the NXT Champion in the center of the ring.

Daniel Bryan walks up the ramp, confident as ever, as he looks at Johnny Gargano who looks disappointed in the ring. The 20 minute match would go on to become the match of the night, and Daniel Bryan gives all the credit to himself.

But that is when Andrade would take control, sending Ricochet flying onto the barricade.

EMTs would check on Ricochet, as he may be seriously hurt but Andrade pushes them to the side. Attempting to put the match away, however, it would continue on to the 15 minute mark. Where Ricochet would go for a springboard move onto the be caught out in the "Tranquilo" finisher move. Where Andrade would pin and defeat Ricochet, retaining his WWE championship.

Evan Bournce (C) vs Lio Rush - Cruiserweight Championship (Written By Smith)

Now, it is time for the second showing of cruiserweight action tonight here at Backlash as 'The Man Of The Hour' Lio Rush challenges the WWE Cruiserweight Champion, 'The Reborn' Evan Bourne. It was at WrestleMania 35 that Bourne made his dramatic return and captured the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. Tonight, he makes his third defense as the champion against a man who has been a consistent stand-out talent on the purple brand for almost a year.

This match would start with extremely fast-paced action as Bourne and Rush would trade blows or at least attempt to as each man would showcase their impressive agility, dodging each other's strikes until they would both catch each other simultaneously. The two men would continue to go back and forth, mixing profound strikes with exciting high-flying. Eventually, the match would come to an end as Rush would go for a bicycle kick that Bourne would dodge. Rush would then end up kicking the referee straight in his face. With Rush distracted, Bourne would catch him with an enziguiri to the back of the head. Resultingly, Rush would roll to the outside of the ring. Bourne would climb onto the apron and go for a plancha onto Rush but out of nowhere, a mysterious hooded man or more of a monster would swat Bourne out of mid-air with a destructive lariat.

The monster would then pick Bourne up, hit him with a catastrophic swinging side slam before rolling him back into the ring, where Rush would finish the job off with The Final Hour. The referee makes it back in to count the pinfall and Rush gets the victory! Lio Rush is the new WWE Cruiserweight Champion! The monster climbs into the ring, revealing himself as the half-Nigerian, half-Polish, Babatunde! He would lift Rush onto his shoulders and the two would celebrate this championship victory together.

Becky Lynch would take out Alexa Bliss early, slamming her into the ring post on the outside before throwing her into the ring and locking in the Disarmher. Causing Alexa Bliss to tap out in just under a minute. Bliss would roll out of the ring pissed off before walking up the ramp, leaving Becky Lynch alone in the ring to celebrate.

Image result for WWE Lars Sullivan

The dominant freak that is Lars Sullivan would come to the ring, as he gets set for not only his first pay per view main event, but his first world title match. In the past few months, Lars Sullivan has destroyed the likes of John Cena, and various other superstars and he looks to do the same tonight.

Image result for WWE Kevin Owens

The second ever Universal Champion, Kevin Owens would come to the ring to try and win the title belt one last time. At Wrestlemania, Kevin Owens would take out his best friend Sami Zayn in a street fight and tonight he is here to go back to his prize fighter ways.

Image result for WWE Seth Rollins

Finally, the champion, Seth Rollins. Would come to the ring and stare down at his two opponents, Rollins defeated Brock Lesnar. But can he defeat a freak and a prizefighter?

Seth Rollins (C) vs Lars Sullivan vs Kevin Owens - Universal Championship

Seth Rollins would be ganged up on by Owens and Sullivan before the two would go at eachother, and of course the dominant Sullivan would throw Owens around the ring before throwing him through the german announce table. Rollins would hit many impressive dives and high flying moves on Lars, but it would appear Lars would be able to defeat Rollins.

But just at the last moment, Rollins would be cut off by Kevin Owens and the match would be saved. As Sullivan is hit by not only a curbstomp but two pop up powerbombs, he would be rendered usless as Rollins and Owens continue there legendary feud from two years ago.

The ending would come when Rollins would hit the curbstomp on Owens, and retain his title. Rollins holds the title high in the air as tonight, he got past yet another challenge, and when it comes down to it, he may do that for many months to come as the show ends with Rollins, holding the title high.

In 2016, WWE debuted the Cruiserweight Classic, a tournament pitting thirty-two of the best cruiserweights from around the world against each other. After the success of the tournament, only moments before the finale between Gran Metalik and TJ Perkins, the CEO of WWE, Triple H, introduced the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. Later on, a TV show dedicated to the cruiserweight division, named 205 Live, was launched.

Now, three years later, with 205 Live thriving like never before and the recent inauguration of the WWE Cruiserweight Tag Team Championships, we see the return of the Cruiserweight Classic. Once again, thirty-two of the best cruiserweights from around the world will face off in a single-elimination tournament. None of these competitors are signed to RAW, SmackDown or 205 Live contracts but there's no doubt that this is the perfect opportunity for them to earn as such. Furthermore, this time, the winner will challenge for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship at SummerSlam this August!

Monday Night RAW - May 6th, 2019

Paul Heyman Announces Next Event
As the opening intro to Monday Night RAW comes to a close, the current GM of RAW would get on the mic to bring attention to the next One Night Only event, which will be taking place in Japan. It will be titled "Under The Dome", and will feature many RAW stars in matches that will be decided in the coming weeks. Paul Heyman leaves the ring with a promise that the next few weeks are going to be the best RAW product he can manage.

Randy Orton vs Tomasso Ciampa
Last night at the Backlash PPV, Tomasso Ciampa and Randy Orton went to war in a falls count anywhere match and thanks to a mysterious star wearing a black mask, Ciampa would be able to defeat the veteran. The shenanigan ending would call for a rematch tonight, in which both men would go into this match with the same amount of energy as 24 hours prior, despite the bandages on both men.
By the time the bell would ring, it would be Randy Orton, who hit an RKO on the WWE rookie that would get a pinfall victory for Tomasso Ciampa. Despite his victory, Randy Orton would end up laid out on his back due to the masked wrestler once again attacking him, planting him with a wicked elbow shot before taunting next to Ciampa. Who the hell is under that mask?!

Pete Dunne Is Still Champion
In a backstage segment conducted by the newly signed WWE personal, Pat Mcafee. Mcafee asked Dunne not only about Velveteen Dream, but the future prospects on Monday Night RAW who may be challenging for his championship. Dunne shakes his head at the question, answering the question with a cocky remark that the has shown in the past few weeks.
Thats when the former cruiserweight champion, Buddy Murphy, would walk into frame, calling Pete Dunne the "Loser weight" before saying he wants a match, Pete Dunne would accept, laughing in the face of Murphy before walking away as the segment ends.

War Raiders vs The Ascension
Back at the Elimination Chamber PPV in February, the War Raiders had a shot at the RAW tag team championships and would come just short due to a bad knee on part of Rowe, however, tonight they look dominant just as they have since there debuted. Hansons and Rowe destroy Ascension, making it clear what their attentions are as they raise there hands in victory, however. The screen would glitch out and a narrators voice would come over the sound system.

A PWE Announcement
Kassius Ohno, Apollo Crews, and there manager Ric Flair would come on screen and talk about the War Raiders, and that sooner or later PWE will be the champions anyways. Ric Flair then drops a hint on signing a new superstar to the growing brand that is PWE, however, the All Americans would come out and would say how last night they were screwed out of the tag team championships and Edge comes out, agreeing with All Americans and giving them a shot at the One Night Only event. However, he does not want to give them a one on one shot, so next week, the winner of War Raiders vs PWE will join the match. What a blockbuster match made!!!

Seth Rollins vs Robert Roode
In a backstage segment, Robert Roode would come into frame, saying how he now wants to drop the name "Bobby", and will stop trying to win fairly, and please the crowd, only adding to the aggressive actions he has had since turning on his partner Chad Gable.
Robert Roode would have his first true test under the new name when he takes on the current Universal Champion, Seth Rollins in one on one action. However, the champion, who was still hurt from last nights triple threat match, would be able to defeat Roode with a curbstomp and walk away once again the victor. As Seth Rollins taunts in the ring, the screen goes black, and on screen, a light flickers.

Fade Into Darkness
Aleister Black would come into the view of the camera, only being lit by the candlelight. He cuts a very mysterious promo on the Universal Champion, before a smile comes over his face and he says that he wants the championship. Seth Rollins smiles, clearly liking the challenge, before Aleister Black blows out the candle as the show goes to commercial.

Pete Dunne vs Buddy Murphy
As we return from break its time for the main event, a match that was made earlier in the night as Dunne and Murphy, two of the most gifted young talent on the roster will go against each other one on one. And if Buddy Murphy wins that can only mean great things for his career going forward.
Pete Dunne and Murphy would tear the house down, putting on an amazing match and doing everything they could to defeat one another. The mixed reaction for Pete Dunne would be enough for him to get the win, as he hits a bitter end and defeats the Australian native. Pete Dunne raises his title in the air before once again, much like last night. Cody Rhodes stands on stage, gaining a huge reaction as Dunne scowls at the former WWE superstar. Monday Night RAW ends with Cody Rhodes, standing on stage, once again a WWE superstar.

Austin Theory | The Unproven One | United States | 205 lbs

A man with the whole package that is destined for great success in sports entertainment. The incredible physique of Theory is no coincidence either; he has spent tremendously long gym sessions perfecting himself as a bodybuilder, even cutting a whole fifteen pounds just to qualify for this tournament. However, he is only three years into his career as a professional wrestler, making him one of the most inexperienced in the tournament but to his relief, he is being trained by the aforementioned AR Fox so is in good hands.

At the age of 27, Daichi is a former BJW World Strong Heavyweight Champion as well as a celebrated tag-team and six-man competitor, winning BJW's Tag League once and six-man championships twice.

8Ntta6j.jpg

Darby Allin | Daredevil | United States | 180 lbs

Earlier we looked at Austin Theory but now, we look at the long-time rival and polar opposite, Darby Allin. He is exactly what the perfect sports entertainer isn't supposed to look like and has spent his whole career defying the odds but that's what makes him so special and gives him a chance against any opponent. Living by a 'do or die' attitude, Darby puts everything on the line every single night in order to achieve his dreams.
