New York Knicks

MSBH8DLQbIVqLnynF5EMQD1krZ1CM1sv-qL_33Bn

The New York Knicks are in ultimate rebuild mode following the trade of there best player in Kristaps Porzingis, they are putting it all on getting not only the 1st pick in the draft but also getting a top tier free agent in either Kyrie Irving or Kevin Durant and trying to get back to there former heights.

Cleveland Cavaliers

cK8N18MuFMjO4OLoUkF4tOjgiEEAjndMHYSHcQHK

Since the exit of Lebron James the Cleveland Cavaliers have gone from the highest of highs to the lowest of lows as following a season where they managed to make it to the NBA Finals not only did the Cavaliers fail to make the Playoffs but they also finished the season with a record of 19-63 making them the second worst team in the NBA only behind the New York Knicks. They’ll be hoping they can draft a future star with their pick and try to not only make it back to the playoffs but possibly even the NBA Finals.

Phoenix Suns

Nu2sTVGlJS3ifb8K2rOdP6ZqdoBwoLA9ZX4Hh795

The Phoenix Suns have not made it to the Playoffs since 2010 which was back when they still had Steve Nash. while they’ve still had good players grace their roster since then such as Eric Bledsoe Goran Dragic and Devin Booker who is still on the roster they haven’t been able to make it to the playoffs in the strong western conference. But now with the young duo of Deandre Ayton and Devin Booker plus one other young good player from this years draft could the Suns break there 9 year streak of no playoffs and finally make it back to postseason basketball?

Chicago Bulls

Xm7mK1-8g5wZRLjMOyqOqQEkCw_K7w3JQ3VWEjlw

Following the trade of Jimmy Butler to the TimberWolves, the Bulls have gone without postseason basketball for 2 years but have built up a nice young core in Markkanen, Lavine and Wendell Carter Jr. Going into the draft the Bulls will be hoping to draft a solid PG with Kris Dunn underperforming recently and names such as Ja Morant and Coby White being the predicted picks.

Atlanta Hawks

3VoTLj3CB0A7_XKSB3-32bzsppFSr6cykrtnc6_1

Many have criticised the Atlanta Hawks for trading away Luka Doncic for Trae Young and a 1st round pick top 5 protected but the closer we get to the draft the better that trade looks for the Atlanta Hawks because not only did Trae begin to really light it up following the All-Star Break the Dallas Mavericks pick they have gained looks set to go outside the top 5 but in the top 10 meaning in this draft if the Hawks are lucky they could get 2 more future stars and create a deadly young core to pair up with the one they already have in Trae Young, John Collins, etc.

I went with the Bulls because I would find it interesting to see you use the few pieces that you have aswell as the crucial decision that you need to make when drafting. I think with the others you have a little more room for error with them as all of them have basically a guaranteed big star in the future while with the Bulls it's up to you to create that huge star or draft him.

Celtics win big among others in full Conference Semi-Finals Recap

5 games is all it took for the Celtics to advance past the Bucks after going up 3-1 in the series the Bucks knew they had a tough challenge ahead of them but thought they would be able to win game 5 at home at least but while they did push the Celtics to a double overtime with Giannis putting up 36 points 11 rebounds and 9 assists but it wasn't enough as Kyrie with 33 points 9 rebounds and 11 assists lead the Celtics to a win to send them to the conference finals.

In the other semifinal in the east, the 76ers and Raptors kept battling back and forth after the Raptors won game 4 in Philly to tie the series 2-2  but then the 76ers pulled off a huge win in Toronto to make the series 3-2 in there favor heading back to Philly. While many were confident they were going to end the series there Kawhi Leonard to matters into his own hands as he tore the 76ers apart to make the series 3-3 before he did it again in game 7 winning the series for Toronto Sadly at the end of game 7 when the Raptors had the game won Kawhi went down with left thigh cramps.

Over in the west, the Warriors got off to a dominating start against Houston going up 3-0 and the possibility of a sweep was looking more and more likely  before the Rockets went onto to win both game 4 and game 5 and with game 6 in Houston coming up it was looking like we were going to go to a game 7 and the warriors fans and players were nervous well everyone but Steph Curry that is as Curry dropped 40 points in game 6 to win the warriors the series and save them from any embarrassment.

In the other semifinal, the Nuggets and the TrailBlazers were tied up 1-1 after the first 2 games with the TrailBlazers having the upper hand as now they were going to Portland but it seemed that didn't bother the Nuggets one but as despite Lillard dropping 46 points in game 3 the Nugget still got the win they then continued this streak and went on to win game 4 and game 5 and advance into the Conference Finals to face the Warriors.

That leaves us with the Celtics vs the Raptors and the Warriors vs the Nuggets and our predictions here at NBA.com for those matches are Warriors in 5 and Celtics in 6 due to Kawhi being hurt and we think he won't be at his best. let us know your predictions and we will be back next with our Conference Finals recap next.

Warriors dominate in full Conference Finals Recap.

Pull out the brooms because the Nuggets have been swept by the Warriors pretty much all thanks to Steph Curry who dropped more than 30 points in all 4 games as the Nuggets didn't even come close to having a chance with curry hitting 3 shots in the series from the logo. Following this performance, it's fair to say the Warriors are the clear favorites going in the NBA Finals.

Meanwhile in Boston vs Toronto Kawhi Leonard decided to play through his injury and helped the Raptors get a 3-1 lead after 4 games averaging 28.5 pts before Kawhi got hurt again this time it was more serious as Kawhi got hit with Right Knee Tendinitis this opened the door for the Celtics to make a huge comeback with Kyrie likely to be leading the way and while Kyrie averaged 36 in the series and dropped 39 in game 5 Kyle Lowry somehow played even better and dropped 41 points to send Boston home and Toronto to the NBA Finals.

Now while we doubted the Raptors before in our predictions and we were wrong we will go against them again with Kawhi being out and Boogie Cousins looking like he will be able to make a return for the Finals. So our prediction here at NBA.com is that the Warriors will yet again sweep and destroy the Raptors in 4.

Well that was one crazy draft. I like the selection of Ja Morant from the Bulls gives them an immediate PG of the future and further adds to the young core they have going there with Lavine and Markannen. Ja can attack the rim and is very very versatile as a PG so I think he will succeed for the Bulls if he is given the keys. Now lets get into what the Fuck Cleveland did. You don't just trade away a supposed once in a lifetime talent, this was absolutely stupid and it just makes Boston ever scarier with now Zion and Romeo Langford being added to that young team, that's going to be something to watch

Intresting to see Durant stay but Klay not too. cant wait to see where Klay goes. I also wonder if AD will get traded. Ja Morant is definitely a big pick. the franchise PG of the Bulls and i like that fit. Cavs trading Zion was a bit weird but cant be surprised cavs front office is awful good job Ropati

A lot of these big Free agents stayed put which is interesting to see, especially with Kemba Walker staying put in Charlotte I definitely didn't see that coming. An interesting off-season for Philly as well losing Tobias and Jimmy to pick up Bogdanovic and Klay Thompson. I guess surounding shooters around Simmons is good with Klay being a lethal shooter and Bogdanovic being no slouch himself. Philadelphia definitely a team to watch in the next season

Official: Anthony Davis Has Been Traded to the Lakers.

image.png

The Anthony Davis saga is over. The Lakers have sent Brandon Ingram, Kyle Kuzma, Josh Hart, A 2020 1st round pick and 2 2nd round picks to the Pelicans in exchange for Anthony Davis and Solomon Hill. Originally the Pelicans wanted to do Ingram. Kuzma and Cam Reddish for Davis and Hill but the Lakers who want to keep Reddish as either a starting SG or a trade piece if things go wrong with this super team. However, the big story of this trade is the big 3 the Lakers now have in Davis, Cousins and Lebron James. Not only could this team be Lebron's best chance to get his 4th ring it could also be a future dynasty as both Lonzo and Reddish will only get better with time. For the Pelicans, this trade is their chance to be a future powerhouse. As Ingram, Kuzma and Hart are all young players that will get better plus getting 3 picks including 1 first rounder will give them at least 1 more young player to add to this young core.

Following this trade, the Lakers are expected to line up like this

PG: Lonzo Ball SG: Cam Reddish SF: Lebron James PF: Anthony Davis Centre: Demarcus Cousins

Following this trade, the Pelicans are expected to line up like this

PG: Coby White SG: Jrue Holiday SF: Brandon Ingram PF: Kyle Kuzma Centre: Julius Randle.

Bulls Header.png

NBA Opening Week: New York Knicks Vs Chicago Bulls

Bulls Starting 5

PG: Ja Morant, SG: Zach Lavine, SF: Otto Porter, PF: Lauri Markkanen,C: Wendel Carter Jr

Knicks starting 5

PG: Emmanuel Mudiay, SG: Jarrett Culver, SF: Kelly Oubre Jr, PF: Jabari Parker,C: Enes Kanter

The Bulls would win the jump ball to the start the game and that would be the only good thing that happened within the first 4 minutes with the Knicks quickly going up 13-0 due to the bulls playing horribly. Jarrett Culver was running the show for the Knicks draining 3's and mid ranges will nobody but Ja Morant seemed to be able to hit a shot. At the end of the first quarter, the score read

37-28 to the Knicks

Nothing seemed to be going right for the bulls and bad went to worse as Jabari Parker and Enes Karter began to heat up and help take over the game for the knicks. Culver continued to play well and Ja continued to be really the only good thing for the Bulls. At half time the box score showed that the 2 rookies Culver and Morant were the 2 players leading the line in this game.

image.png

The Bulls started the 2nd half hot with both Lavine and Morant dropping shots but the Knicks seemed to be able to keep up with them with Parker, Culver, and Kanter doing the job and with Lauri not being able to hit a shot the bulls couldn't get ahead of the Knicks so the score at the end of the third read

100-81 to the Knicks

Yet agsin the Bulls started the quarter hot with Lavine hitting 4 shots in a row with the Bulls going on a 10-2 run and they got quite close to the Knicks dropping the lead down to only 5 at one point but thrn they fell apart again with Lauri missing open 3's and Jabari Parker and Enes Kanter closing out the game with quite a few offensive boards. Which you could saywas the main reason the Knicks ending up getting the win in this game

Final Score:

Knicks win 133-117

Best Performers:

Ja Morant 38,1,4

Zach Lavine 38,6,3

Jabari Parker 26,13,6

Jarrett Culver 24,5,4

Enes Kanter 22,14,1

Plays of the Game:

Ja Morant rises up for a huge poster on Kanter

Chicago Bulls (17-20) VS  LA Lakers (28-9)

Bulls Starting 5

PG: Ja Morant, SG: Zach Lavine, SF: Otto Porter, PF: Lauri Markkanen,C: Wendel Carter Jr

Lakers Starting 5:

PG: Lonzo Ball, SG: Cam Reddish, SF: Lebron James, PF: Anthony Davis,C: Demarcus Cousins

The Lakers would win the jump ball and continue to take over and Otto Porter was stuck guarding Lebron James who began to have a field day along with Anthony Davis as the two combined for 26 of the Lakers 42 points in the first quarter. For the Bulls, the only thing to cheer about was Ja Morant and Zach Lavine combining for 21 points in the first quarter the problem was however that the rest of the Bulls team only got 8 points combined at the end of the first.

42-29 to the Lakers

The Lakers would continue to dominate out rebounding, out assisting and outscoring the Bulls. As while the Bulls bench didn't do badly against the Lakers bench when the starters came back in. The Lakers took over again and Anthony Davis began to heat up hitting shots and Lebron became more of a facilitator than a scorer. Cousins remained quiet in this game as Lebron, AD and Lonzo were holding the ball the most. It didn't matter however as the Lakers extended there to lead.

image.png

The Bulls seemed to be putting on a mini-comeback in the third until the worst possible thing that could happen happened. As when Ja Morant was trying to drive pass Lonzo Ball he banged his arm against Lonzo causing a turnover but more importantly it also sent Ja down to the ground clutching his elbow. Ja would then get helped off the court by doctors and all hope the Bulls had would seem lost. However, it seemed seeing Ja get hurt raised something in Zach Lavine and he went off as he got 34 points in the 3rd quarter lowering the score down to.

106-90 to the Lakers

Lavine continued this hot form into the 4th and all by himself brought the Bulls right back into the game dropping 43 points in the quarter breaking the record for most points set in a quarter but despite this, the Lakers were still up 138-136. So with 4 seconds to go Lavine created separation against his man and hit what he thought was a 3 at the buzzer to win it but was actually a long 2 and he sent the game to overtime instead.

giphy.gif

138-138 Tied

Instantly at the start of Overtime heartbreak struck as following a three-pointer attempt Cam Reddish went down clutching his right ankle and it did not look good he was instantly carried off by doctors with many fans and players being worried about him. This seemed to motivate the Lakers however as they went up 145-140 in overtime but then Lavine hit a great dunk in transition. Then the very next player Otto Porter drained a 3 with Lebron right in his face to tie it up 145-145. Sadly this was the only time in Overtime it seemed the Bulls had a chance as Davis and Lebron took over and won this game for Lakers despite a historic performance from Lavine.

Final Score:

Lakers win 156-149 in OT

Top Performers:

Zach Lavine 97, 6, 6

Ja Morant 21, 0, 6

Lebron James 44, 10, 9

Anthony Davis 40, 9, 4

Lonzo Ball 24, 1, 10
