The “Immortal” Hulk Hogan’s long-standing rivalry with “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair is about to enter a whole new chapter at WWE Crown Jewel when the two WWE Hall of Famers each coach a hand-picked team of five Superstars for a 5-on-5 Tag Team Match at the special event on Thursday, Oct. 31.

The monumental announcement was made when Hogan and Flair appeared as special guests on “Miz TV” during the season premiere of Monday Night Raw, as Miz was shining the spotlight on the decades-long rivalry between Hogan and Flair. Now, on the international stage, they have the perfect opportunity to continue their game of one-upsmanship.

The Hulkster selected Universal Champion Seth Rollins to be his team captain as well as Rusev and Ricochet, while Flair chose his former Evolution stablemate Randy Orton as his captain as well as King Corbin, Bobby Lashley and Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura. The remaining participants on each team are set to be revealed in the coming weeks.

Don’t miss Team Hogan against Team Flair when WWE Crown Jewel emanates from the King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, streaming live on WWE Network on Thursday, Oct. 31, at 8 p.m. AST/1 p.m. ET.

Rollins doing double duty on a Saudi Show? We can dislike him all we want the man sure has hell works his butt off. Now, I hope they have some more segments between Flair and Hogan cause without that, there is nothing to care about here. It's not a battle of the brands, it's just a match I suppose. I doubt they will get people excited for this, and probably didn't need to have Seth Rollins do double duty for it.

When this match became official after Flair and Hogan going at each other, I was confused as to why it was happening but also thankful that we weren't getting Flair vs Hogan. Despite this match not really having much meaning, it'll be cool to see all these top tier talents in one match like how it is at Survivor Series. However, I'm not sure why they're having Rollins do double duty when they could give this platform to another of talent, especially since the WWE has more extremely talented superstars than they know what to do with.

I really, really dislike the fact that this match is happening. I'm usually all for 5 on 5 matches, especially elimination ones that usually turn into car crashes midway through, but I can't see that happening here. There's literally no story behind it, just a little feud between Flair and Hogan that originated out of thin air. The wrestlers unleashing hell on each other makes no sense because they don't have much a reason to. But despite these flaws, judging by the stars in the match already, this should be an entertaining encounter if nothing else.

Judging based off who’s in it so far I would say this match will be fun to watch if nothing else however as said many times here with basically no story behind it this match probably won’t be all that great and also because of that I really have very little interest or care about this match and to me it’s only there to fill the numbers and a spot on the card.

I wish there was at least some sort of deal with the team members rather than just faces vs heels. I feel like they could have made a bigger deal around the selections though I guess this isn't exactly important so who cares. I'm assuming that Team Hogan wins because they're the good guys and Hogan over Flair (at least in the company's eyes). It was cool to see Roman take over as team captain and I think the talent involved are gonna make the best of this match.

Roman Reigns Replaces Rollins As Captain Of Team Hogan & Gable And Ali Are Added To Team Hogan

Quote

Roman Reigns has been announced as the new Team Captain for Team Hogan at WWE Crown Jewel.

As noted, WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins was pulled from the big ten-man Team Hogan vs. Team Flair match due to his Falls Count Anywhere title defense against "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt that same night. WWE announced on tonight's SmackDown that Reigns will be the new Team Captain.

It was also announced that Ali and "Shorty G" Chad Gable will be on Team Hogan.

Team Hogan currently includes Reigns, Rusev, Ricochet, Ali and Gable. Team Flair currently has Randy Orton, King Baron Corbin, Bobby Lashley and WWE Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura. The final member of Team Flair will be revealed in the next week or so.
