Who Would You Like To See Jump Ship To AEW?

Recommended Posts

Image result for jon moxley aew debut

When AEW first started, one of the biggest happenings in the company was when the formerly known, Dean Ambrose, would make his surprise debut in AEW, attacking both Omega and Jericho, donning the new name Jon Moxley. Furthermore, with Randy Orton's contract coming to an end in 2020, I was wondering what other WWE Superstars (or any wrestlers at any other promotions) you guys would want to see in AEW and why them specifically? It can be as unrealistic as you want.

The Revival and EC3 come to mind. They would floruish in a different environment. I really think Ryback would actually be a nice fit. I know he's been out of the game for a while now, but they need someone with a good look and presence and he brings that. He could be the muscle for anybody.

Have to agree with the majority in saying EC3. Vastly underutilized by WWE and a guy I feel would thrive in AEW.

Another name I wanna add to this list is Dolph Ziggler who I feel has done everything there is to do in WWE and has been mostly a jobber to the stars lately. I feel a move to AEW could refresh his career.

Not really a wrestler but a UFC Fighter someone I have been looking at that I think could be a great addition to the AEW roster is Paige VanZant. Now she is not the most well known fighter but when you look at her I mean it just makes sense. She has the looks to make up for anything she lacks starting off and she has that fighting background which always helps in the wrestling industry. Paige could definatley be a big star in my opinion if she was ever to jump over to the wrestling world and AEW. I mean shes got the look, the backround, and hell in the name is pretty good.

Gotta say the Revival, it might be very overused but the fact remains that they're one of the best tag teams in the world right now, and AEW is a promotion that glorifies what tag team wrestling can and should be, while WWE more or less uses it as a joke. Even if they signed big deals, I still wish they could and would jump ship.

Personally I would love to see Dolph make the move over. I feel like AEW would treat him like the star I think he still is. They would push him towards titles and let him just be him for once and prove that WWE has misused this man so badly over the past few years. Another one would be the Revival. They are so talented, but for some reason Vince just doesn't see how good they are and are mostly forgotten about on Raw.

Chris Jericho stated he'd like to see Roman Reigns in AEW so he could be himself, so as a Roman fan I'd definitely like to see that. He gives them a solid main event guy and gives them a mainstream star with his popularity, plus paves the way for matchups such as Mox vs Reigns, Reigns vs Jericho, Reigns vs Omega, and even Reigns vs Cody as AEW moves forward. While it will likely never happen, Roman Reigns would be cool to see jump ship.

This may be a boring answer, but I have to say Dolph Ziggler. The dude is clearly talented, as managed to keep himself some sort of relevant or at least interesting despite having questionable booking for basically his entire career. He is "only" 39. I say only because I believe that he has been on the roster for ages now. It's clear that he can still perform at an high level, and while he wouldn't be someone who could become the top guy, I think he could get a more meaningful role at AEW than the WWE have given him in the last decade.

Another person would be, despite being very unlikely, Bobby Lashley. Before the whole Rusev/Lana shit show, Lashley had no real position within the company, only getting a meaningless IC title run for a few months. AEW lacks a monster heel, and while Lashley may not be the biggest, his size and MMA background could make him fill in this role pretty well imo.

I'd like to add two names we will probably see pop up in AEW before 2020 is over, The Revival. I feel a move to AEW would clearly help them as AEW thrives and prides on having a very strong tag team division something which would really benefit Wilder and Dawson a lot in the long run.

P.S: Someone tell Brenden to keep this thread in mind when he does his AEW Series on TEW 2020 xD.
