Monday Night RAW have secured another ratings win over Smackdown in this month’s “Survivor Series” contest. RAW has continued their impressive reign of ratings dominance by successfully out scoring Smackdown in three out of four head to head episode. This win now brings RAW their third straight victory in the ratings, with Smackdown’s last victory coming from the month of “Summerslam”.
It was announced earlier in the month that the winning brand for this months ratings would earn their brand an exclusive draft pick in the upcoming ‘Survivor Series Draft’. With this victory, RAW will now have one extra pick compared to their competition. If Smackdown can secure a win at the Survivor Series PPV in the heavily anticipated Samoa Joe (Smackdown) vs Rusev (RAW) match, it would give both brands four picks each. However, if Samoa Joe fails to defeat Rusev, RAW will have a dominant five picks to three advantage over their competition.
This news could greatly affect Smackdown General Manager Edge’s future on the brand, with rumours of a change in leadership arising. If Edge cannot secure a fifth pick it would put his brand a huge disadvantage, arguably a situation that cannot be fixed until the post ‘Wrestlemania Draft’.
This news will certainly boost the brand new RAW General Manager Christian’s performance, with this victory it will certainly secure his position as General Manager in the foreseeable future. With this month being Christians first, many believed that RAW would fail to defeat Smackdown. However, this has not been the case and now Christian’s reign as General Manager looks highly promising for the red brand.
Can Smackdown fire back in our next month “Tables, Ladders & Chairs”? Will Edge lose his job as General Manager if he fails to win another Survivor Series pick?
