In recent months, Monday Night RAW has not had a leader in charge of the brand. The day to day operations have been left up to the WWE Board of Directors to handle with Mr. McMahon having the final say in what happens on RAW. However, for the last couple of months, Mr. McMahon has been scouting for the next General Manager for Monday Night RAW and tonight on Main Event he will announce who that will be.
Smackdown has been controlled by current General Manager Edge for over a year, with Edge guiding the brand to a Bragging Rights victory earlier this year and a Royal Rumble win. Smackdown has been dominating all of the interpromotional interactions between the two brands since the beginning of Universe Mode, but Mr. McMahon promises that is about to change with his new selection.
Despite, Smackdowns stranglehold on the brand war, Smackdown has failed to perform in the ratings department, with RAW winning the past two months. Smackdown has only won twice since Wrestlemania, with many viewers now wondering if there is pressure on Edge to turn those results back into the blue brands favour.
With the new General Manager announcement tonight on Universe Mode, we will truly begin the ratings war between the two brands. Who will be the General Manager for RAW? Have your say by tweeting @BrendenPlayz.
