For over three years Monday Night RAW and Thursday Night Smackdown have battled one another in a bid to prove that they’re the best brand in the WWE. Everytime we see our two major brands lock up it has proven to be a successful outing for Thursday Night Smackdown, with back to back Bragging Rights wins, Royal Rumble victories and the number one draft pick given to them, just to name a few. But it seems in the overall picture that Smackdown’s dominance may not be the case. The ratings (youtube video views) of each show have been analysed since Wrestlemania and it has shown a different story between the two brands.
Monday Night RAW’s poor performance in interpromotional contests may have been the downfall of their former General Manager The Rock, but if there’s anything to applaud from his tenure as General Manager it was his impressive ratings that Monday Night RAW delivered. Monday Night RAW successfully won three out of four ratings battles during his time as General Manager, with the month leading into Payback his only downfall by a small number. Smackdown successfully won the month of Summerslam, arguably due to the massive support for the returning CM Punk at the time. But failed to follow up during the Night of Champions and the Hell in a Cell months.
“Each month, the winning brand will receive a different reward for their efforts”

So what does this mean? For starters, it could force Smackdown General Manager out of his position if things don’t turn around for the highly popular ‘GM’. Edge may be winning cross branded battles but it is the ratings that our board of directors are evaluating the highest. With RAW on the hunt for a new General Manager, it will add even more pressure to the new manager. The expectation to continue their ratings dominance will be even more prevalent than before.
The board of director’s have also notified BrendenPlayz.com that the ratings will now be analysed more than ever before. Due to Monday Night RAW’s winning ways they have been rewarded. The next NXT superstar to be promoted to the main roster will be joining the RAW locker room. They will also receive the rights to having the Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Tag Team Match, that is only rewarded to one brand per year. If their impressive wins continue, they will be rewarded with the next pick until beaten. Each month, the winning brand will receive a different reward for their efforts. These rewards may include, draft picks, the number 30 spot in the Royal Rumble and much more!

The last three months of the ratings war.
The viewers of BrendenPlayz now will have more say than ever on the future for each brand. Your viewership will now determine which brand is superior. Your support for your favourite brand could help lead them to earning a reward that could give that brand the competitive edge over the other. The brand wars have gotten even bigger now, with both brands looking to stack the deck and perform at their very best to outdo each other.
Who will you support, Smackdown or RAW? Can Smackdown turn their rating woes around or will RAW continue to dominate. Who will be the next NXT superstar to debut on RAW?
